Story confirmed on the Salford City Reds official site www.reds.co.uk

What can we expect from him? He sounds big at 6ft3 and 16 stone, although 3 clubs and he is 23 suggests he is either experienced or not good enough.

He's been solid at the eels and never really showed much brilliance but then that could be our style of playing that has hampered him.

He doesn't really run onto the ball as much as I would like.

In my opinion that most over used word "mediocrity" comes to mind when I think of Langi......I take my hat off to him for trying his best consistantly, but he's no Jamie Lyon

Nobody will ever compare to Jamie is the best 3/4 of the last 15 years easily and nobody will ever reach his standard thats why it pains me not seeing him at our club. Everyone is a shit player compared to Jamie.

Done very well, not much he could do considering Brian doesn't like his side going wide  , he's got potential, his flick passes against the Bronco's, Penrith, Newcastle all show he has got skill.

He has done pretty well in a shitty team. Didnt get much ball with Wagon at pivot so really couldnt shine. His game against Knights was great.

Could do Ok at Salford then as they tend to spin the ball about when they are playing well.

Kevin McGuinness has been a revelation since being switched to five-eighth and has just signed a three-year deal. The club are also close to finalising a deal to play out of a new 20,000 capacity stadium complex which would allow them to compete with the other Super League big guns in the spending stakes.

So it could be a good move for Langi if he's up for the challenge.

My point being that we have lots of people complaining how mediocre our club is, yet people also see Langi as lost talent....sorry, but Junior is average at best.

Yes I know - unfortunate we ended up in that position isn't it.....especially when we came into the season with a pair of international 3/4s.

I think you are missing my point entirely....I am not trying to have a go at Junior Langi - I commend him for trying his best on a regular basis in a badly performing side....if he was not doing his best, then BS would not be putting him in 1st grade now when he is leaving the club.

My point is that our best 3/4 is nothing more than average....we need to improve drastically in our backs next year.....people cry over our "mediocre" efforts, yet get all worried when our "mediocre" players leave.

I agree, Our quality has gone from the best to the worst in the league in alot of positions except for fullback and 2nd rower the rest are average and thats being nice.

You don't think that, on their day, Cannings and Vella can be some of the best props?

That Morris is a great hooker (again, on his day, 'cos sometimes he has brain explosions)?

Grothe?
