Junior referees

Anyone have any details on how to become a referee? I can't seem to get onto the North Sydney refs page, but what's the usual procedure? Not wanting to do it professionally.. just on weekends for spare cash, so preferable if it were the u6-u12 range.

I was a Parramatta referree and the procedure was a 4-5 night course, usually 1 night a week then an oral exam to test your competency. Then you are a preliminary ref and can do Mini/mod games. Depending on the number of refs you will probably only do mini in the first year. Then when you get up to the level of U12 and above you do the level 1 exam (written).

Depending on his location Parramatta may also me alright. I know they are always looking for more referrees as their numbers are pretty low.

the norths refs site got hacked last year by Turkish freedom extremists, lord only knows why the site is down now....
