Its a long standard joke going back many years which is now just part of the day out, we actually get complaints when it is not read out. all in good fun stemming from the days when some clubs gave inflated figures in the 90's.

My understanding is that it was picked out of the cold grey sky one wet day at Erko. It has stuck since.

It is always a good laugh when you see someone at the game who has obviously not been at Henson before, and when it is announced they have a surprised and confused look on their faces as they scan around the ground, mumbling " Thery/e kidding aren't they, theres not that many people here !!! "
