i think our new boy's in a spot of bother with the tackle on Elford, he looks like he'll be bringing some points over to O'Connell street with him..

Sounds bad, I missed it switching channels to Headingley.

Carry over points from here to next season? Don't they extinguish at some point, or it is like a drivers licence and takes a few years?

yeah, i think it does work the same way as license points, they'll wipe them off in three years, but I could be wrong..

no doubt somone will correct me there....

btw, the tackle was one of the worst that I've seen for a while and Elford suffered some bleeding behind the eye, however he was concussed earlier so it's not really determined whether the tackle itself caused the injury.

Bleeding behind the eye... :(

The most carry over points Poore can bring if suspended is whatever part of the charge isn't a round 100 points... although he will be subject to loadings on any future charges with us.

They changed it to a five point reduction for very game you stay out of trouble so by next year it won't be as bad for us

As rogue said, they take points off each week now, so he will be clear at Parra (barring another incident of course). Unlucky tackle really. Nothing nasty in it.

Nothing too bad. It looked bad but he'll get a couple of weeks at the most. Seen tons worse.

unlucky my arse - that was exactly what they have been trying to get out of league for a while now ... he should get 4 games for that - picked him up and dropped him on his head with his full body weight :? ... just glad he did it now and not in the semis

I didn't think it looked that bad......Elford twisted and Poore's body weight was always going that way he couldn't have fallen any other way and was only trying to flip him on his back.

he lifted him to try and put him on his back hard - but it went too far and in the end he's lucky he didn't f**k up his neck .... parra fans would be screaming blue murder had someone who isn't coming to parra next year had done it to one of our guys

If Elford hadn't been hurt no one would have batted an eyelid...A penalty at worst...

I was looking for it as I'd already read about it on here expecting to see an obscene tackle. When it happened I thought "is that all?"

an obscene tackle would get 7-9 weeks .... a bad tackle 4-5 weeks .... i think it was bad

the problem is he doesn't just drop him, he drives him into the ground landing ontop of him in the process - and i don't think elford twists, he just puts his arm out to break his fall but can't do much cos poore is launching onto him

watch the video on the highlights - i reckon it looks bad ... http://bigpondtv.com/nrl
