The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that exciting young prop Kane Evans has made a long-term commitment to the Club, signing an extension until the end of the 2017 season.
22 year-old Evans expressed his delight at extending his contract with the Tricolours.
Ive been at the Roosters since I was 17 and the Club has treated me so well ever since I got here. Im learning so much from Robbo and all the coaching staff and Im so happy to stay with the Roosters and work towards building my career here, said Evans.
Hopefully Ill continue to learn and improve as I play alongside the great squad here at the Roosters, he added.
The re-signing of Evans ensures a core group of players who have come through the Roosters junior ranks together including Dylan Napa, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Tautau Moga will continue to grow and develop at the Club.
Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan, was pleased to have Evans locked into the Clubs long-term plans.
Kane has been a wonderful asset to the Club both on and off the field. He has an infectious personality and is a fierce competitor, and we look forward to watching his continued development in the coming years, said Canavan.
Evans made his NRL debut in Round 2 of the 2014 NRL season. He also represented Fiji in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
