I was thinking of attending the Bradford Bulls v Wigan Warriors at Old Trafford on Saturday night but maybe I should stay at home. After all, the Taliban might storm the stadium and take me hostage. That's what the ARL and the 'star' players seem to think so who am I to disagree? But I will go, because being British I have more guts than the yellow Aussies who have given in to terrorism. We make a stand against terrorism in this country, we don't give in. Unlike those big, brave Kangaroos. Incidentally, we don't just make a stand against terrorism in this country. League fans in this country make a stand against the machinations of the rugby union authorities. The ARL have helped them as well.

What a surprise we have a pom having a whinge, I did not think that this would ever happen. I am sure we will hear the chorus line of "this was the year we would have beaten them".

Nicek this off another message board. Sums it up:

Old men now, they still stand proud,
With faltering waves acknowledge the crowd.
Medals shine, bright on the chest;
Heroes honoured by the Anzac Test. They fought and died so the World was free
Never dishonoured, never bowed the knee.
Bullets like rain and cannon like thunder
They stood to be counted, the men from Down Under. And now upon this day of shame
That same ARL who honour their name
Admit the sham that’s their national pride
The slightest threat – they run and hide. In Rugby all our lives we’re told
The greatest test’s against the Green and Gold.
But now, if replica shirt you seek,
Look for the Green with the Yellow Streak.

Too right, look for the green with the yellow streak.

Although I believe the majority of Aussie fans are disgusted with this treachery by the ARL, there are quite a few piss weak ockers who are backing this move and trying to deflect this back onto us Brits.

Let me tell you tossers, no British Rugby League player would consider pulling out of a tour if the roles were reversed. Your constant whining only serves to strengthen the belief that it's the Aussie who's the real whinger.
