Kearney/NZ have ruined the Test Match

Was going to head to the Test match with a group of mates but we've all agreed there's little point any more.

Kearney is kidding with the side he's picked, I know there were a lot of unfortunate injuries but he's overlooked some top class players and unjustly.

I know he's using the justification of bringing the youth through in preparation for the next World Cup but that's just a weak excuse for picking what will be an uncompetitive team.

The players who have been dropped will all be around next world cup, in fact they will be in the peak of their careers so it's a piss weak excuse to hide behind and he better not hide behind it when his team get thumped.

This will be a really tame game, the only way it'll be close to competitive is if Australia switch off which they might have already after seeing the lineups.

I find it hard to get excited about this game, not good signs for International Rugby League unfortunately with this guy at the helm.

I imagine I'm not the only one who's lost even more interest in a game that's been hard enough to get excited about in the past?

I don't actually mind all though I would have picked different younger players.

The game is just a money grab for both countries so I wouldn't mind if each year we just use it to blood young inexperienced players. I'd be pissed if we picked a team like this for an actual series though.

You realise why he didnt pick JWH, FPN etc.
Is because they with SBW were the main culprits going hard with sleeping pills/red buls before the final

Do you really think Williams would do that shit before a big game?

The guy is obsessive about how he prepares himself.

I like test matches, but this one is a waste of time and certainly shouldn't be played now.

Keep your chin up . . . the NRL needs people who thought there was any POINT to a one off Kiwi/Aust Test in the first place

Whats the go with the Roosters now holding players back from rep honours, they are starting to do a Manly and stop their players representing their country or state.
It's getting time to share the talent as well.

ANZAC test is a joke anyway.

I've been screaming for years for NZ to use it as an opportunity to blood new players/secure them before Mal gets to them.

With Foran, Luke, Leuluai and others injured, we're more or less lambs to the slaughter.

Why do you think some teams are stacking their rosters without obvious Origin players, there's more to it than just interrupting 3 games. Maybe the Roosters think they contribute enough as it is, I reckon Melbourne have gone far and beyond. Another mindless NRL contribution . . . or is it

Kiwis by 20! Havili to score a double and John to provide 4 try assists. K Bromwich to look confused and tackle his brother, stopping him from scoring a try, but then getting penalised for obstruction..

This game will harm international rl

A bunch of Kiwis already did that leading up to & in the final of the World Cup not so long ago. They're gone now and although there's a lot of injuries which limited the selections, these young guys are the ones in the team now.
With all their inexperience they at least will value the Kiwi jersey and the chance of representing their country! Every kiwi on these forums should be behind them and barracking for them - not your go? Shame on you.

Chances are they might get done but it won't be because they disrespected being a Kiwi. For all the Kearney haters...strong stand and making do with what is available - can't get much more Kiwi than that!

Save your red faces, not for another humiliating loss to OZ but for your speed at dissing these young guys and justifying your own lack of backbone to be a real Kiwi supporter. The last thing these guys need to hear is that noone thinks they're good enough ...now that's damaging, not being thrashed.

GO THE KIWIS!!! Proud of you all!

So these are the players picked

Gerard Beale, (St George-Illawarra Dragons), Adam Blair (Wests Tigers), Jesse Bromwich (Melbourne Storm), Kenneath Bromwich (Melbourne Storm), Greg Eastwood (Canterbury Bulldogs), Tohu Harris (Melbourne Storm), Siliva Havili (NZ Warriors), Ben Henry (NZ Warriors), Peta Hiku (Manly Sea Eagles), Isaac John (Penrith Panthers), Shaun Johnson (NZ Warriors), Simon Mannering (NZ Warriors), Sam Moa (Sydney Roosters), Jason Nightingale (St George-Illawarra Dragons), Kevin Proctor (Melbourne Storm), Martin Taupau (Wests Tigers), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Sydney Roosters), Dean Whare (Penrith Panthers)

Apart from JWH, who else has been dropped?
Frank Paul has hardly been setting the World on fire. That decision is more on performance than anything else

Who else is missing? As for the Roosters holding back players - I see two Roosters in that team. Why haven't they been scratched?

Dropped - Goodwin, Vatuvei, Inu, Kasiano, Waerea-Hargreaves, Glenn, Williams, Nuuasala, Taylor
Injured - Pritchard, Hoffman, Foran, Leuluai, McKendry, Luke (from NRL.com)
Suspended - Matulino

There's only 5 players remaining from the World Cup final.
I have no idea about Jeremy Smith, Taumololo, Ma'u, Rapira and others but I guess they are injured too. I have no idea why Glenn, Nuuasala, Taylor and others would be dropped for players like Kenny Bromwich and Proctor.

The ones in bold are all injured.
