The Madison is a points race with a twist

The Keirin is just a sprint race with a bigger field, with a motorised bike setting the pace out the front at first, the last lap (or 2) the bike leaves and it's an all in brawl for the finish.

No the German was given third, and then an appeal was put in. The appeal was upheld so relegated the German to fourth. So that's final now, official. You can't appeal an appeal result.

Ahh right, thanks for that. There was a bit of confusion for a minute, I thought the stewards relegated the German and expected an appeal for them, I didn't think the Aussies put in an appeal of their own.

Congrats to Kelly, I hope he sticks around until Beijing, he deserves the gold.

As for Bailey, this kid is a freak. I've never seen speed like that before in my life!
