Some of the NBA's biggest names could be headed to Australia under a plan to take advantage of the likely NBA season lockout.

NBA players - including Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol - are among an All-Star team that is willing to play a tour of Australia.

It is understood the plan includes three All-Star matches at Rod Laver Arena in late 2011.
At least two sponsors have committed to back the tour and insurance issues - tipped to cost more than $1 million for the star-laden team.
The NBA season traditionally starts at the end of October.
But the players' pay dispute with the NBA, which created the lockout, shows no sign of resolution.
It has spawned a rare window for the proposed tour by some leading lights.

My jaw hit the desk when I read this today! Even if the LeBron Douche pulls out theres still enough talent to draw a crowd. I would pay money to watch Kobe Bryant take free throws. I'm a Celtics fan but after Jordan Kobe Bryant is the greatest player I have ever seen. Good to see Big Ticket and Rajon's names get thrown in there. Pity The Truth has been left out though!

I remember going to NBA Jam Session in 1993 at the height of my NBA obsession. The only name player there was Hakeem Olajuwon but it was still awesome. This will leave it for dead if it eventuates!

The latest is that it won't happen now. The game in Puerto Rico will go ahead but not so much the others. It was left too late to be organised.

Read on another forum that Ticketek announced that the tour has not been cancelled, just postponed.

Find this hard to believe considering the developments of today's CBA meeting.

"Stern answered in the affirmative when asked if he has a concrete idea of what the new labor deal will look like."
