Kicking

Is it just me or does every single kick, weather kicking for touch, repeat sets, bombs, attacking grabbers etc does every kick go 10m too long, or 10m too short?

And If it isn't just me, how does it get fixed? This has been a problem for what seems like almost a decade! And those insufferable mid field bombs! Fmd how many games have been blown for the simple lack of a general play kicker?

Agreed. Reynolds kicking game alone is worth a good sized contract.
The strengths of Liddle, Brooks, Doueihi and Laurie are their running games. None can control a game, none can implement a game plan, none can strategically kick a football consistently and effectively.
We desperately need someone like A Reynolds to provide what this team has lacked for over a decade.

I’ve been saying this for what seems to be an eternity but..... we have a bunch of 6’s out on the field. Probably sadly our last halfback we had was playing in gold and blue today.
Think we can eliminate Reynolds.... so I’d be looking at ole mate in the super league who’s name escapes me Lols

My thoughts on the bomb is that that is the only kick Brooks has that isnt completely arse, so the coaches tell him to go for it. Cleary was the same when he was here. All wwe have seen from Brooks is this kick despite the coach.

so much fear about kicking for a repeat set and getting it wrong and conceding an extra tackle ...I say have a go. You have to get half of them in surely and that gives us a chance ...we’re likely to lose the game anyway or get the repeat sets against us ..why not try to turning it on its head when we get the chance nothing to lose, everything to gain

It is complete arse though. It goes direct to the fullback, 20-30m from the goal line. Every time

Brooks kicking game has led to a couple of tries this season. No worries if it's classified as arse. It's scoring tries for us. His backing up around the ruck and making the right pass has also been very good.

Douiehi has the massive attacking bombs that he can put up but at the moment Brooks kicking game is leading to more direct tries rather than fumbles.
