Ok, I know some of you have seen our thread in rleague and enjoyed chatting about our 3rd Div club in the premierleague and I think that as I will be posting here more often we need to have a thread here as well...anyone else out there support the Harriers or any of the other lower Div clubs?

Hello, Chileman! I couldn't leave you on your own over here! If anyone else out there fancies following an impoverished 3rd Division club from a small town in Worcestershire then please feel free to post on here.

We may have no money and few fans but we do have Bo "Bomber" Henriksen (the Viking goal machine who knows how to party!).

Ahhhh, great to have my Aggborough brother here to preach the good news about the Harriers....nowlets see if this thread goes as long as the thread in rleague did....plus of course you'll always catch me in the Rockers forum and mightyeagles.com and the official Harriers board from time to time! ;)

No money and now only 3 sides to the ground as the Cowshed has almost been fully demolished :(. It will be replaced by August with an all-seater, so we'll be able to watch score in a bit of comfort :).

See you around, Chile!

Hi Retread!

I heard that the authorities here may not let Halifax go up if they don't manage to get out of Administration by the end of March. This would be terrible and pretty unfair. Fingers crossed that the businessmen succeed in getting the club out of trouble.

Another club struggling financially....it's sad to see clubs like Halifax suffer because they don't have the doe....maybe the Cowboys could be their sister club and help them out...they have plenty of money now ;)

Retread, I reckon the Shaymen will be in the playoffs and they will then have as good a chance as anyone to go up. Fingers crossed. Its typical of sports politics, though: Harriers won the Conference for the first time in 1993/94 season but were prevented from going up by a technicality (the ground was deemed not up to spec when we won the Conference even though we guaranteed that all works would be complete by the time the new season began).

Capacity will be hardly any increase from the 6250 previously. Its a long story, but the club had just 1100 seats and is required to have 2000+ seats by this summer (the end of 3 years in the League). The club wanted to pull the Cowshed terrace down and have a 2500-3000 seater in its place to give a capacity of, say 7500. However the local residents and the unhelpful council (do they really want us to have a successful footie club?) objected. Therefore the new stand will have just 2040 seats and we'll end up with a total of 3040 seats and about 3400 standing.

Shame we had just 2006 turn up for the win at home against Southend on Tuesday. Hopefully a more modern stand will attract new fans otherwise it'l be a white elephant, and some of us old 'uns prefer to stand really!

And the annoying thing for Halufax is that they were 2-0 up at one point.

On to more important matters. Harriers are at Cambridge Utd on Saturday and expect to come back with 3 points to keep up our promotion bid. Another awayday for me and mrs nostalgia.

I'm an AFC Wimbledon man myself (an even lower division) - not to be confused with the Wimbledon FC team that we arose from.

As a youngster used to support Maidenhead FC - crappy, crappy team BUT play at (reputedly) the oldest football ground in the world.
