KING T.O. Of the WR World

Did you see this amazing athlete light up the Dallas Cowboys yesterday with his partner in crime Donovan McNabb ? This is the hottest team in the NFL today IMO (just ahead of Pittsburgh and New England) and T.O. is going to figure in MVP balloting at season's end given he has transformed the aerial attack of the Eagles.

Vikings superstar for mine is THE best WR in football when healthy, though at this minute, there is no better WR in the game than the trash talking T.O. He made KJ seem quiet which is an accomplishment and he made a secondary (admittedly struggling all year) that boasts Roy Williams look like HS footballers.

T.O. has 8 receptions, 130+ yards and 3 TD's...McNabb threw for 300+ yards and 4 TD's as well...this is the best team in the NFC and after 3 NFC finals losses, this year the Eagles with T.O. will represent in the Superbowl that Iam sure.

The Eagles defence was impressive as well which only adds to the credentials of the Andy Reid led team.

My prediction...Atlanta Falcons vs Philly Eagles in the NFC Title game. Mike Vick, as much as he needs to improve as a passer, is simply winning football games with his athletic ability that scares ALL defences in the NFL.

Rumour has it that Payton Manning has already been awarded the MVP for this year.

Seriously,I think Manning is going to take some beating....

Manning is definately the favourite...no arguments from me. He is likely to eclipse the best ever QB season stat wise beating MY MAN Dan Marino! He alread has 31 TD's and the most yards in the NFL which correct me if I am wrong is near enough 3000 yards.

A truly great QB who I hope does not follow the path of Marino and retire without a SB ring to show for his truly brilliant arm.

I am not sure how they could sew this up so early despite his form...I mean, he could cop a season ending injury, his team could go belly up similar to the Pack did earlier in the year. Who knows...

I will agree though he is the outstanding favourite this far in to the season.

McNabb was on fire yesterday. Best game I can remember him playing. Some of the throws he hit his WRs with were amazing. What about the 14.1 sec run around then the long ball!

What about TO dancing on the mini star logo? Golden. I still am worried about how badly they played against the Steelers and how then T.O was in McNabbs face. I know they are best friends and all but do it off camera T.O!

Hopefully the Eagles can finally make the Superbowl this time around. I'm feeling me + sporting teams = jinx

TO looks like being the missing link in the Eagles attempt to make the SB. Unfortunately it looks like I only taped the first quarter of the game so won't get to see all of his display.

I would like to see Philly in the SB though. I think they are the only NFC team capable of putting up a contest against any of the AFC teams that are likely to be there.

Not sure about Philadelphia being the hottest team team though given how badly Pittsburgh beat them just last week :?

I agree with Broncodroid on Manning. At this stage it looks like he's going to suffer Marino's curse of being a great QB without having a Defence to back him up.

Does anyone else think that its ironic that the Colts defence is ordinary, given Tony Dungy is their coach?

Dungy was the architect of Tampa Bay's great defense of the late 90's.

Just goes to show that regardless of the coach, you still need the talent to get results.

Yeah and I don't think it will get much better next year for the colts defence with Marvin Harrison coming off contract. His new contract will probably take up all the money that the salary cap increases will give them. Meaning, unless they can get some good defensive players in the draft, they will once again struggle their.

TO has nothing on Javon Walker 8)

Walker has the speed, the athletic abilty and doesnt have as much arrogance as TO..although his starting to celebrate like TO.

I think the best thing that has happened to the Colts franchise is the breakout of Reggie Wayne and Brandon Stokely (and with Troy Walters who they have massive raps on too sitting there) meaning that Marvin Harrison can no longer command the massive dollars for being the be-all and end-all of their passing game. Add to that Dallas Clarke's development and I wouldnt be surprised if Marvin struggled to get any sort of upgrade on his contract.

The emergence of Stokely and Wayne will ensure the Colts will be in a position to upgrade on D in the near future as Marvin, as GREAT as he is, will not be in a position to demand a contract that he may be arguably entitled too.

Harrison has made Stokely and Wayne good as he is attracting so much attention in which Manning is finding them wide open with Dallas Clarke and Pollard both of whom have 5 TDs each!...given Manning can put the ball on a dime, this team is going to score points if the WR's are catching the ball. Special mention to Edge who is giving them a running game as well reminding us how great this guy can be.

Look at the Colts key players this season:

P. Manning: 296att - 197com - 66.6% - 2749yds - 31TDs - 6INT - 80Lng - 122.7QBR

E.James: 197att - 877yds - 4.5avg - 30Lng - 5TDs

M. Harrison: 47rec - 588yds - 12.5svg - 52Lng - 7TD
R. Wayne: 41rec - 636yds - 15.5avg - 44Lng - 7TD
B. Stokley: 41rec - 665yds - 16.2avg - 69Lng - 5TD
D. Clarke: 14rec - 332yds - 23.7avg - 80Lng - 5TD
E. James: 30rec - 307yds - 10.2avg - 56Lng - 0TD
Pollard: 18rec - 175yds - 9.7avg - 26lng - 5TD

Marvin is STILL Manning's go-to guy, Harrison has put up impressive stats in his own right thus far though down on prev numbers in yards and average perhaps.

I believe the Colts will keep Harrison, he may take a minor cut to hang around especially if they end up winning a SB though IMO it is unlikely given the leaks on D. In saying the above, they are one hellova team to watch...
