He is unavailable for the World Cup for family reasons, would you have picked him ?

I probably would not have, he has been too inconsistent and i think they will only pick three centres, Gleeson Senior and Shenton.

have you got a source for him not being available?

i would have taken him in the 24 as a back up center..even as a winger, not many players can out run leon pryce as he did on saturday..

i'll never forget yeaman's GB debut against australia in sydney during the 2006 tri nations, up against 'super douper legend mark gasnier' had people questioning if yeaman would be upto it......

and when the time came when the 2 went up against each other, one on one, yeaman promptly dumped gasnier on his arse, gasnier then disapeared into the sheds never to return

it's widely reguarded as one of the finest debuts by a GB player in living memory.

Yeaman was starting to look like the player he was when he made his GB debut since Sharp left (make of that what you will). Having said that his all round game was poor in the CC final. Hopefully that was just a blip.

He seems a bit hot and cold.

Having said that, the major concern seems to be the number of players dropping out of the England squad - for various reasons.

Two years ago I though he was going to be the dogs whatsits, but he has really fallen away since then. Haven't seen too much of him recently but he had an awful Cup Final at the weekend.
