I don't think Whatuira has been that good to be perfectly honest. I know people think he's a defensive guru, but he's been brushed aside a few times in this series.

He's been averaging good metres (90 to 100 metres a game), scored a try against France and has a couple of try assists to his name, I'm not really sure what he's done wrong, or what Hape offers that Whatuira doesn't...

I'm with Iafeta on this one, I really rate the guy, but he has let himself down
on more than one occasion. I would have liked to have seen him play himself
in though......maybe he will get a chance in the final.

Whatuira probably hasn't been in the best form considering the way he played in the regular season.

I still wouldn't have dropped him though, from what I've seen in the Tri-Series so far Hape is in far worse form than Whatuira.

Whaturia hasn't been playing great TBH.. i'm pretty tired of him getting carried into touch cause hes too small.

Looks an impressive team. Ali needs to run into some form, but apart from that it looks the best available side to me. Hape brings more than Whatuira imo, and Toopi is playing better than he has for a while.

Although yes Jones is a great player, he is stuffing the NZRL around with these comebacks.

They should just stick with Robbie Paul at halfback.

I think the comebacks are mainly at the request (begging) of the NZRL...

Will be interesting to see what they do at half for the final, could be Robbie but seems to me more like it will be Motu for that one game, with Hohaia to take over at half next year?

I think the only thing people remember Hape for this series was him being mesmerised by Mark Gasnier.

Again, I know Whatuira hasn't been in the best form this series, but he hasn't really done any thing wrong and I don't know what Hape offers that's better then Whatuira. And it's not like Hape set the world on fire in his one test.

Further, in Whatuira can play at his best, we all saw the results this year with the Tigers, where he scored 18 or 19 tries this season.

WTH happened to the GB vs Kiwi thread that was just here? I clicked on it and it said Invalid Thread? ???

I'm totally redfaced here, Kiwis are getting killed :(

Brian Carney totally owns Vatuvei, he's bloody useless.
