Blockbusting forward Jason Taumalolo and teenage wing Dallin Watene-Zelezniak have been named for their NZ Kiwis debuts in the 2014 Four Nations opener against Australia at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.

Coach Stephen Kearney has also re-united Keiran Foran and Shaun Johnson in the halves, with veteran utility Thomas Leuluai starting at hooker.

Sooo we had no fullback in the squad, a winger gets injured, we bring in a fullback, and then go with a centre as the replacement wing even though the squad already had two other wingers in the squad and a winger already playing fullback.

It's like Kearney wants to lose sometimes. What a shit coach.

My non-selection is completely ridiculous. I have been outstanding for the last 2 seasons and rarely let the Kiwis down.

Sheens v Kearney.. How did we end up with these pelicans in charge of the two best test sides...

No NRL club wanted either and ever since Mal turned QLD around there's been an obsession with standalone rep coaches?

Aside from that, got nothing. At least Sheen's wins (superior playing roster notwithstanding). Kearney's record would be pretty abysmal, he's just damn lucky two of those wins involved two finals.

Check out who got shortlisted when the put the Kiwis job up earlier this year. Pretty sure it was Kearney, Kidwell and Glenn Morrison who coaches 2nd div in England, so not exactly an abundance of quality coaches putting their name forward. I doubt there is many NRL clubs who want their head coach involved in rep duties, its why Cleary couldn't even commit to being an assistant

No but there's a few handy Assistant coaches going around eg Payten, Brennan they could do what Parish is doing at Samoa

If NZ want to win this tournament, they have to give Brown more minutes. I couldn't believe they took him off in the second half the way he was carving Australia up.
