Exactly A4E, that's why I'm puzzled as to what kind of New Zealanders are actually in Australia. It's certainly not like that over here, so it must be that Australia is what is influencing them.

It's also ridiculous to suggest that you would go to Australia to "dole bludge" when (someone gimme some stats of facts if I'm wrong here, but it's the general perception in NZ) New Zealand has a very friendly social welfare system itself, and I always get the impression it is at least as good (to the beneficiaries) as Australia's.

And finally, Tamazoid. Understand this.

It's not a myth. It's a reality. They get welfare while they relax on Bondi beach, overcrowding it preventing deserving Australians from using it. Sorry, but getting a tan in Bondi isn't considered as work.

Most of the Kiwis have left Bondi Beach. Its steadily gentrified and become Double Bay by the ocean - mostly yuppies.
