Knights 3-2-1's

That had to be our best performance of the year and it's no surprise it's come of the back of Pearce returning. Granted the Knights are really really struggling at the moment, but you can only beat what's in front of you and we put them to the sword.

The attack looked so much more smoother with Pearce back calling the shots, in particular with Fergo getting plenty of early ball to do some damage. We have really missed pearce and his kicking game the first 2 months.

Thought young latrell looked a lot better in attack having another focal point taking the pressure off him and hopefully we will see him really grow now with 2 halves who can pass and put him into space.

Our pigs as usual got their jobs done and Cords just slipping back into last seasons form. He really is as important to this side as JWH is IMO. Was happy to see Liu get over the line as he is really the unheralded weapon in our pack. We will have quite a beastly pack in a few weeks with SST to join JWH, Napalm, Liu, Evans, cords and Guerra.

Can't fault young matterson either, he and Aubo are the types of players who can play in both the backs and forwards. Jacko 7 from 7 as well is what we need to see every game. Jimmy was a sniper kicking for goals so hopefully Jacko will follow.

My 3-2-1's are as follows

3 - Pearce. Set up a few and scored a one himself. Should've had an assists from a kick but Fergo bombed it as well. Directed and moved us around the park beautifully and was exactly what we've been missing all season.

2 - Moa. 17 hit ups for 161m and kept going forward. He lays the platform for Pearce and the backs to work from. Hes a little battering ram and can really get us on the front foot with a good barge up the middle.

1 - Fergo. Bagged a hat trick but should've had 4 if not for a dodgy put down in the first 10mins. Made plenty of metres and I'm sure he loved all the early ball Pearce and Jacko gave him. He gets ball like that every week he'll give opposition centres nightmares. He did have a shocking moment in defence for the Knights disallowed try, Robbo really needs to work on his reads in defence.

3 - Pearce - Tremendous comeback game.
2 - Liu - One of the best middle men in the game.
1 - SKD - This bloke proves quantum theory.

Chook.

I am.overseas so didn't get to see the game but good to see we are on track again. Hopefully from here we can make a real crack at the 8. It will be very tough and i have a feeling the canberra and manly games will ultimately cost us but you never know.

No disrespect to the Knights but it was a bit too easy, not that I'm complaining. Still, it was good to put a score on while keeping them to nil.

We don't play again now until 16 May Monday night against the Tits.

3 points: Mitchell Pearce. 1 try, 1 try assist, 13 runs for 129 metres, 13 tackles with 2 misses in 73 minutes. He was everywhere when needed and he helped the team look far more composed. The side look like they knew what they were doing. Took a lot of pressure off Jackson Hastings.

2 points: Boyd Cordner. 15 runs for 117 metres, 33 tackles with only 1 miss in a whole hearted 80 minute performance. We have missed this guy too.

1 point: Blake Ferguson. Seemed to be everywhere in attack and 3 tries is nothing to sneeze at.

Honourable mention - Aiden Guerra.

Great comeback by Pearce but is anyone else gonna be annoyed like me if he makes it into the Blues squad?

He should send a message to Daley that reads something like:

Sorry Lozza but Ive been a merkin to my club. I've embarrassed them and the game as well as being disrespectful to the jumper. I'm gonna spend the rest of the year helping them secure a position on the ladder that a great club such as them deserve.
Yours, Mitchell Pearce.
PS Did I mention I''m a merkin?

Brad Fittler said Pearce needs to work his way through things at the Roosters and not worry about rep football. Said probably one of the worst things would be for Pearce to get picked for rep footy right now.

Agree Captain but I've heard his name get mentioned a couple of times in the media. You'd dismiss it normally but the state of Blue's halves problem means there's a possibility.
