I wasn't going to bad mouth Kidley but i can't help myself.
I feel he deserves it.
Don't ever let him forget what he was about to do.

The guy is shallow.

Are you people aware of what he did?

He had a clause in his contract apparently.

See, what's bad about Kidley is the fact that he WAS going to join the Goosters had he switched and not signed.

Also, he wanted to go THERE because he needs to look good around good players.
Others have to make him look good and he knows it!

Me, i think that he's a sh*t player.
A try hard.
He tries to hard.

When we've been getting beat he looks sh*t!

I hope that he feels like a hero now that he's wearing number 7.

He ain't no peoples champ and i can't stand the guy.

He needs Johns beside him to look good!

It's bad enough that players only play for money today but when they start nit picking about options then that smacks of bullsh*t.

UT you are a fool... If johns didnt re-sign he was able to re-negotiate his contract(get more money).. He also came out and said he wouldnt leave the knights if johns left.

Agree with you on Tahu, but nat on Kurt.

Kurt's problem has been that he has had to do too much, and he's not quite at that level to handle the responsibility as yet. In saying that, he is nearlly always the first to any kick chase and also gets through a lot of work in defence.

Of course he looks better when Joey's there, everyone does. But he also looks better with the rest of our top grade players there.

As for his contract. I think he was asked to accept a lesser offer than maybe he was entitled to on the proviso that the Knights could use that extra money to secure Joey's signature. He could of walked away then and told them to get stuffed like BK did, but instead his manager put in the contract that if Johns walked Kurt could renegotiate as the Knights would have more money available to 'up' Kurts wage.

I don't see that as unreasonable.

Kurt Gidley's reputation would stand up favourably against any other player in the NRL -- he is one of a handful of Knights players with good characters, whose attitude on the field is synonymous with his attitude off-field.

We should cherish someone like Kurt Gidley, not look to defame him.

You have lost me here UT, as many others have already stated Kidley signed on with the Knights for less than he could have gotten elsewhere and before Johns even signed.
His clause in his contract allowed him to re-negotiate his contract if Johns didn't sign with the Knights, this is obviously because Johns is worth a sh!tload of cash and if he didn't sign then Kidley could have gotten an upgrade to his smaller contract.

he works a LOT
always the first down there after his own kick, tackles more than most other halfbacks in the game, has made the most kicks of any other player in the NRL this year

would you say that joey os always trying to grab the spotlight just because he's involved in most of the play?? no, so dont be biased against kurt because of your personal dislike of him
