Your love affair with Mann is blinding you from the fact he is an okay footballer nothing else.
  1. Mann is NOT a right side player. He can play left wing, left centre or five-eighth.
  2. Des pulled the power cord from our 'power game' in the first 20 min of the game last night.
  3. Everyone was so relieved that Mary got is extension that they finally relaxed on the field.
  4. Mary is a rotten coach who does not know what he is doing. Hasler out foxed him last night.
  5. Macdonald is a left side winger and Nightingale is a right side winger.
  6. We have had problems with our right side defence for years, no matter who Mary puts there.
  7. McCrone needs to go, we need a decent halfback who can kick.

Mann is a very handy retention.

For us his best position was left wing last year, not saying that is necessarily his best, but where he was most successful for us. I think he can adequately cover most backline positions but isn't banging down the doors to start in any position either.

You need a Mann in your squad, I'd go as far as saying he'd be one of the first picked in the 17, but one of the last in the 13. Which just adds to his utility value.

I've never talked him up as much as others on here but I believe it's pretty unfair to write him off after one bad game too.

Having said he's not a centre I actually think he's a good utility player. I reckon he's a decent backup 5/8th, fullback and winger.

Craig Bellamy rated him as a centre. But that was back in the day when he had a coach who backed him, invested in his ability and gave him consistent time to develop in a certain position.

Given the way supercoach dicks Mann around week after week and seems to show zero confidence in him I don't know how anyone expects Mann to do an amazing job.

It's clear the kid has talent yet we have a coach who's managed him so poorly his confidence seems to be completely shot.

I can't believe the club has invested heavily in our juniors and yet expect McJetski to develop them into first graders, because his efforts with Mann are pathetic.

Its like Mary pulls a number out of a hat and what ever number is drawn, Mann posts there.

Also for bonus points Mann gets moved during the course of the game, just to make it more difficult.

I would be on if this only happened occasionally, but it seems to happy very week. When did Mann last play a single position for a complete game?

Mann is the most versatile player we have as he can play any position from 1-7. Not many players have this rare skill set. Signing Mann is great and he will probably take Nighty's spot once he retires. Or Duges spot if Dufty/Field do not succeed. Or play backup to Hunt or Widdop. See plenty of options. That is why he is a must.

Craig Bellamy let Mann walk out the door with no real effort to keep him, Cheyse Blair has shown more than Mann ever did in the left centre role at the Storm. Mann's an excellent utility player which is what's needed with every team, he's not a world beater but he's extremely handy to have in a similar vein to how Gerard Beale is used at the Sharks.

I've seen nothing from him thus far suggesting that he's a world beater, he's good on the wing and a good fill in at left centre.

Manns development may not have handled well but if hes staying it means he is accepting that utility role now. It gives our squad a lot more flexibility particularly with some uncertainty over fullback.
