Kurt Warner - On The Way Back To His Old Self

it's great to see kurt showing some of his form again.

just saw some highlights of the game and he looks like he's throwing the ball as good as we know he can. a couple of long strikes to toomer where he didn't have to break stride and the ball was just there in front of him.

now that kurt is far far away from that wacko head coach wannabe martz he has a chance to shine once again. he is playing for a real head coach now that understands you need balance for the offense. now that the defensive linemen can't tee up for a pass every down kurt has that extra time to make the plays he needs to make.

go get em kurt.

he has now led the giants to 3 straight wins. this is a team everyone had lucky to win 4 games the whole season before a ball was kicked. they said the giants had a dud oline, a dud defence, a qb who is past his best, a rb who fumbles. a team of losers. it's amazing how one player can turn it all around for them.

given gameplans which give the team a chance to win he is helping the team to play to its' potential and the players are rallying around him, they absolutely love him. i bet they're loving their head coach right now as well. follow the rules and help the team to win.

those despicable cowboys are up next and we will be able to watch it next week.

4 straight wins now.

it would be nice if the receivers could hold onto simple td catches so kurt can build up his numbers but i'm sure he'll take the wins over the numbers every time. he has the team believing again and the momentum for a great season has already begun. i don't think coughlin will allow the win streak to get to the players heads.

it is kurt, look at how the qb affects the whole offense.

"deep ball" collins is a very average qb and when he stunk it up the giants gave up last year. look at what collins is doing to the raiders, he's stinking it up and the raiders are getting blown out after looking pretty good with gannon calling the shots.

warner is taking control of the offense and the rest of the players are responding. of course coughin is also a big reason the giants have turned it around.

Kurt died as we all expected him to. He and Drew Brees are in the worst position an NFL QB can ever be in. They are the "Starters" for a team who used 1st rd picks and $40mill multi-year contracts to replace them. Even if the Chargers make the playoffs Brees will be traded in the offseason.

Are Giants still in the playoff race? If so bench Eli and go for it with Kurt I say! Eli isn't up to NFL standard just yet.

yeah, it didn't go the way i expected it to go for kurt.

the giants oline got worked out by the defensive coordinators and kurt isn't the most mobile qbs so he was a sitting duck back there.

if the giants had wrs who were worth a damn it might have been different for kurt because he would've been able to release the ball quicker but as it was they weren't able to get seperation and kurt kept getting sacked.

what it came down to was kurt couldn't lead the team to wins anymore because the oline was just too terrible so he got benched. they needed a mobile qb to escape the rush and buy some time. the problem for the giants is they only had eli to turn to and he was a disaster waiting to happen. it's sad to see a qb who gave the team the best chance to win get benched because the team paid a rookie a ton of money.

however it was lucky for kurt that he got benched because he would have been absolutely clobbered in the last three games and the pathetic play of manning and the giants offense with manning as starter sheds good light on kurt's play when he was the starter. his stay with the giants was a one year gig all along.

no way the chargers let brees go, they will franchise him for one year. they don't even know what they have with rivers so why would they cut loose a qb who has made them winners? the answer is they won't. rivers will have to wait.

kurt will be a hot commodity in the offseason. plenty of teams have qb issues and kurt showed this season that if you give him some time he can still pass the ball accurately, something alot of qbs are lacking.

Drew Brees WILL BE in a Chargers uniform in 2005. Like Kurt Faulk said, the Chargers will Franchise the guy as Rivers is unproven and they are not going to expose themselves and release a late bloomer in Brees who has been nothing short of brilliant in 2004.

Brees may be a Charger next year but any sign of trouble and he is done. Like I said, you dont put that king of money and high draft pick into a guy who is going to be on the bench for 2 years. Look at Palmer, he may have been questionable at the start of the year, but he is showing great signs now. Well worth pulling Kitna, even if they finish under .500
