I didnt even know there was a game. No reports of the game in the lead up or even today? Was it the first grade squad?

Souths Juniors Premier League vs Orange. Willie Peters. Glen Hall, Dale Newton (former Shark) and Matt Riddle (who apparently scored 50 points - 6 tries and 13/14 goals) were the only players of note.

Souths Juniors Premier League vs Orange CYMS Match Report

Souths Juniors Premier League team commenced their 2005 campaign last Saturday, February 5 with a massive 82 points to four win over Group 10 side Orange CYMS.

The Mark Ellison coached team left early Saturday morning, in preparation for the match to be played later that evening at Wade Park, Orange.

The Souths Juniors team had a few players with first grade experience including Willie Peters, Glenn Hall, Dale Newton, Matt Riddle and Brian Seimsen. This however did not phase the Orange team who impressed the big local crowd on hand as well as their coach, former South Sydney first grader Michael Ostini in the opening exchanges of the match.

Souths Juniors took a big lead into the half time break leading by 52 points to nil. It was a credit to Orange CYMS who did not give up at any stage and this was indicated by the second half score line of Souths Juniors 30, Orange CYMS 4.

Special mention must be made to Matt Riddle who scored an incredible six tries and kicked 13 conversions for a personal tally of 50 points. This weekend sees the Souths Juniors Premier League team travel to Bundaberg where they take on the Toowoomba Clydesdales/Brisbane Broncos who will feature a number of NRL players.

Souths Juniors 82 (Matt Riddle 6, Toufic Nicolas 2, Glenn Hall, Peter Ellis, Joel Taufaao, Dean Loder, Willie Peters, Brad Barrett tries; Matt Riddle 13 goals)

defeated

Orange CYMS 4 (Matt Williamson try)
