Latrell Mitchell

Let Hunt return to Broncos and use his cap to sign Mitchell. He wants to p;ay fullback and we need a fullback.
Sailor or Dufty to play five-eighth and Norman to halfback and run the team.

I agree we definitely lack talent and Latrell is one player that has bucket loads of talent. I’d say Latrell would of made a bigger impact if he was signed instead of Hunt. I think we could of covered half but have a real lack of backs with the ability to create points.

As it stands, despite having all that talent Latrell would be too expensive for a player who doesn’t have a big work rate and drifts in and out of games. I think it is realistically impossible to occur anyway. It may be possible in a few years. If Hunt didn’t have as many years left, if you had Lafai and Aitken off contract and Hunt only one year left than we possibly pay some of Hunts and not renew the other two. So maybe in the next year or so

OR

maybe well just stick with no-one, plods, hazz beens and rejects.

It's been said before we need to redevelop our brand. Once we were the club that players were drawn too now we're on the nose. We do two things develop our own or go searching for talent is Raiders Fullback came from nowhere. When we have got our brand back and are cashed up then we enter the market. Before that happens guess what ...we need a new coach who players will perform for.

I personally wouldn't want Mitchell, if I could have any unsigned centre in the NRL right at this moment I would go for Jack Wighton he's a superstar, all effort, strong fast can excel at any position in the backline. I hope he stays at the Raiders though I like what they are building there.
I'd like him at St George Illawarra better

Yep, similar age to Latrell, but the gap between his poor games and good ones is very small.
Excellent centre.
Manu is better by a long shot for me. Mitchell has a higher ceiling but his lows are so low he can single handedly lose you a game. I doubt Manu will ever lose you a game. I don’t see Mitchell regaining his blues jersey for some time unless Wighton is needed at 6.

Anyone who doesn't want to sing the anthem but play in the Green & Gold has issues in my opinion and the last thing we need is players with issues.
I didn't know about this. I wouldn't want him to play for the Dragons if this is true.

Who do you suggest we recruit to play fullback or do you support the idea of Lomax at fullback?

I would like to see Aitken and Lafai as backup centres in 2020 if we can't offload them for the season. So if we buy a fullback, then I'd like to see Lomax and Ford as our centre pairing.

I can't see us buying a winger unless at least one of the wingers are off-loaded. We have Pereira, Pearson, Ravalawa and Saab all under contract for 2020. So in my opinion, we either recruit a top grade fullback or not. In my opinion, the roster has been so mismanaged that without shedding one of our high priced players, it will be very hard to fit in such a player.

Taking all of the above into account, I'd say the best back 5 we can stat the season with is:
1. Lomax
2. Saab
3. Ramien or Ravalawa
4. Ford
5. Ravalawa, Pereira or Pearson
6. Norman
7. Hunt

I'd love to know what your suggested backline is.

This isn’t what I necessarily want but it’s what I think we will get. And this is probably best case scenario.
1. Sailor

4.Lomax
5.Saab
6.Norman
7.Hunt
I doubt we will buy anyone unless it’s a player swap or JDB replacement. This assumes Aitken gets a stint in CC which is assuming a lot.

Lmao the non anthem singing is literally a non issue. Who f**king cares aside from avid Bolt Report viewers
Yeah I don’t care about that. I don’t even care about internationals to be honest. I just don’t like the up and down nature of his performances and that is for Robbo, Mal and Freddy, good luck with Mary.

Whether we like it or not we need at least one more marquee player in our backline and a back 5 that is at least competitive. Without a cleanout the only way to lift the team is to register a run of wins or to change the head coach.

Gould should have done more than provde defence for Mary. He should have looked at the problems the football department are facing and provided a report that, if implemented, will put us on a path to resolve the issues.

It is very simple so I'll do it for him:
1. Sack McGregor - replace with Gould on a 2 year deal
2. Sack Millward - replace with Brown on a 2 year deal
3. Sack Johnston - advertise for a replacement
4. Recommend the establishment of an SGI Football Club with voting members
4. Recommend that each year 50% of SGI Board positions are to be declared vacant and voted upon by the membership.
5. Ensure ALL players know, that in 2020, they will be selected on form

I want a marquee player just not Mitchell, especially considering to get him we would have to pay twice what the Rorters would.
