The Saints were the only band cool enough to have teh same name as a cool football team. And visa versa.
ED KUEPPER AND JEFFREY WEGENER COMBINE TO MAKE POST-HISTORIC SOUNDS
They said it would never happen, but for the people of Brisbane, Christmas arrives early this year. Ed Kuepper, guitar-slinger and songwriter par excellence, and drummer, Jeffrey Wegener, one of the most highly respected musicians of his generation, will finally re-unite in April, for a series of exclusive Wednesday night shows at The Troubadour in Fortitude Valley. These shows will see the duo play a wide selection of Kueppers material covering the entire spectrum of his career from The Saints, through the Laughing Clowns, to his most recent solo material, as well as a selection of cover songs specifically chosen for these shows. Fans of the Laughing Clowns should also note that these shows represent a unique opportunity to see these two legends of Australian music perform a number of songs not played on stage since that highly influential and innovative band last performed in the 1980s. To add further enticement, Ed Kuepper and Jeffrey Wegener will perform without a support with the first of two sets kicking off at 8.45pm each Wednesday. Admission is just $12 and will be available on the door on the night only.
