The Parramatta National Rugby League Club has been deeply saddened by the death of Asics Oceania General Manager Laurie Conyers.
Mr Conyers passed away yesterday afternoon after a long battle with illness.
“Laurie was a great friend of the Parramatta Club and we are all coming to terms with his passing,” Parramatta Eels Chief Executive Denis Fitzgerald said.
“Not only was he our major sponsor, but more importantly, a wonderful man and everyone at the Club passes on our sincere sympathies to his wife Jan and his two children,” Mr Fitzgerald added.
“Laurie was a well known member of the local Rugby League community, serving on the committee of the Wentworthville Club for a number of years,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
