What does everyone think about daley as coach. He has been involved with gould in SOO, has played the game at all levels...i think he would be great.

I actually think he would be a very good choice. He recently knocked back the job at Souths so maybe he's not interested in coaching or perhaps he's waiting for the right offer.

Either way, with all these "who should be the next coach" threads aren't we forgetting Brian Smith isn't going anywhere until the end of 2006?

Not another boring thread!!

look P.A.T.W

no offence mate but we see these sort of "who should coach" threads once a week and it's getting rather tiresome, to say the least.

can we plaese focus on the team itself how we can get out of this, unless our board to a complete "backflipp" on the situation.

If Daley became coach I would go and live in Wee Waa with Jamie. The bloke is a deadset knob!

he has shown nothing other than his fairly unintelligible opinions on Fox Sports since he retired from the game and it would be the single worst decision this club has ever made to sack Smith and hire Daley.

There's no doubt that he had a great footy brain as a player and could oen day become a great coach, but at the moment his only credentials are acting as a bit of a support to Gus Gould in 2 or 3 Origin campaigns and helping out Nathan Brown when he first started coaching the Dragons. You have to give the job to a guy who actually knows what its like to take full control of a side every week, in training, and on match day - it doesn't matter if that's at NSWRL level, but it has to be a hands on full time coach and not just a helper like Daley currently is.

Imagine the players that Daley would attract to the club. That is what I like about him being the coach.

Wow, imagine the NSW Origin side if Daily was your coach. Vella would be playing again :(
