Laurie Fisher must go

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Laurie Fisher is easily the worst coach in the Super 14. I can't believe that cretin actually thought he was in with a chance at the Wallabies job. How can someone be appointed to the position of head coach of one of the most successful franchises in Super rugby, and be untouchable despite never making the finals in 3 years of trying? After his first two abominable seasons of one-dimensional ultra-defensive crap, the first time the Brumbies have ever missed the finals in consecutive seasons mind you, he gets rewarded with a new 2 year contract? The f**ker should be sacked immediately.

It is a coach's job to make sure his team play to the laws of the game... looking at the game last night you would think the Brumbies were completely unaware that the ELV's are now in play! Fisher is making a mockery of this once proud team. He must be sacked, for the good of Australian rugby.

He's had 3 years worth of chances. During that time, he's had the cattle to do better than he has. His game plans are boring, one-dimensional and he obviously can't coach given his team didn't seem to know the new laws. Awful display. If it was a dry track, the Crusaders would have won by 60 or so.

I know the ref had an aversion to straight line-out throws, but honestly other than that I can't see what he did wrong.

he looks like a lion in a bucket hat.

but yes, i cant see them doing anything. Fisher is their only coach not to lead them to the finals (Mc Queen, Jones, Nucifora ....they all got them to the grand final in fact!)

Plus. i cant see them doing anything after losing Larkham and Gregan. My bet on them for the spoon is looking prettty good one week in. they were WOEFULL.

Another game, and I remain convinced as ever of the sentiments of this thread. Fisher is a joke.

well. they snuck home against the highlanders.

defense wasnt great. they let in an easy try to start the game and the highlanders makde numerous breaks up the middle. they could have lost it at the end.

attack was disjointed. looked good in patches. in others was rubbish. at one point they kicked it into the feet of the opposition from a meter away. very brett kimmorley.

passing drills all week are needed imo.

twice they bombed tries with 5 on 1 over laps. huia edmonds try was pretty much bombed as well but he was given a penalty try for f**k knows why. that tackle wasnt worth a penalty try.

brumbies flyhalf passed it 20 meters direct into into the goal post at one point.

they should have scored 6 trys. scored 3 and nearly lost.

That was the halfback who did that. The problem with the Brumbies is they don't seem to have the basic skills that any coach worth his salt should be able to drill into you.

The Brumbies got lucky as I basically don't believe that penalty try was justified, although I do think the ball was grounded regardless in that movement by Edmonds. The resulting kick would have been from the sideline though instead of in front, and Huxley is awful from the side. In the end, those 2 points got us home.

ah. see i couldnt tell the players as i only know huxley and george smith now days.

highlanders also missed a penalty from out wide that would have won it by more. id say the paddle pop lion is lucky to have a win on the board. i saw him after the game. his suit was too tight.

also. dont rate the new jersey. the old one of the championship teams was waaay better. needs the white on it.

next week against the reds will be interesting. both..ordinary teams in my book. the reds have better backs and a half who can atleast create something in berrick barnes. also, clinton can definantly kick at canberra stadium.

I re-iterate. Fisher must go.

What has been working well for the Brumbies this year? When they adopt a free-flowing attacking game. So what does Laurie say during the week? He says the Brumbies are going to have to adopt a more kicking-oriented game to stop the Hurricanes, and shut down the willingness of his players to play a more free-flowing game plan.

This guy is an absolute joke of a coach and must be sacked with immediate effect.
