Which actors do you consider to be the laziest? Actors who have talent, but waste it in roles with no substance.
I have two standouts. Robert De Niro and Nicholas Cage.
I consider Robert De Niro to be one of the great actors in history. He rolled out great performance after great performance in the 70's and 80's. He couldn't go wrong. Then, something happened to him.
The roles he has chosen over the last 10-15 years have been horsesh*t. Apart from "Meet The Parents", it has been a very lazy period for De Niro. He is taking the easy money now. Here's hoping he comes out with at least one more great role in his career.
Nicholas Cage....goodness gracious me. I love this guy. His early projects (while not box office material) had substance and were very good. He was brilliant in "Leaving Las Vegas".
Since the period of "Con-Air / The Rock", the guy has become a hollywood sellout. Like DeNiro, he is taking the easy route and doing action movies with no substance whatsoever. While I liked "Con-Air", "The Rock" and "Face-Off", his project choices quality have been very poor. Shame, as I think he still has something to offer.
