Leadership?

We need a leader:
It is as simple as that. If you look at good teams they have good leaders , this doesn't have to be the captain , just a guy who leads by example. Shane Webke, good tough no nonsense fair player.I can't remember the last time I saw him standing on a football field arguing with the referee about a penalty . I'm sure he's done it , but it's not like he's giving away penalties every week and then constantly challenging the ref. I see this in Robbie Kearns , Steve Price and blokes like Fittler .
They just seem to be able to get on with the game. Nothing will motivate the team more than one of the leaders showing the rest the way forward. At the moment we don't have it.

Jason Stevens it is time to shut your mouth and do what is expected of you from the coach , the club , the fans and yourself ! Jason is an intentional and a club veteran.He should be leading by example . How are the young guys going to learn if he stands there arguing after giving away blatant penalties all night.

Danny Nutley had the ordacity to stand on stage in the presentation area last year and voice his opinion , therefore in my eyes labeling him as a bit of a team spokesman . To see him week in week out carry on is embarrassing and makes him look like a hypocrite.

Kimmorley is good but he isn't the answer He is the cream on top , the Jewel in the crown , the skin on a piece of KFC ( so to speak ).

Peachey was a much better player in the shadows and that's where he needs to be again.

I'm not sure what the answer is , I can't see it at the moment . They looked so lost on Saturday night. Maybe Vangana will bring in some discipline. I don't know.

If BK can put the plays on and Stevens get on with showing the young guys how its done , all is not lost.

Finally someone who speaks the truth....

The simplicity of Cronulla's downfalls have been summed up in one simple post. Cronulla is without vision and guidance. For crying out loud so many people have focused on the negatives and branded us a struggling team without mentioning the reasons behind it...

Sure its easy to criticise Bird when he knees someone in the face and Nutley for not having a clue what the meaning of "get on with the game" means... His attitude was actually comical.

Heres an interesting question....

Would reefy or Shire Shark actually support the team if they were doing well not giving away penalites and winning games... If there was absolutely nothing to criticise, i think they may support someone like the Dragons...

The facts are there, We give away WAY to many penalites, and miss to many tackles... And when we have Saleh running the ball back from kicks slower than Sven Otkes KO punch, there isn't much we can do. Until we have Vangana Meritt and co back we will not gel as a team. Lets face it, we should never have bought Saleh... Whos braniac idea was that?

And Lay of McSharkie, the man is a true supporter unlike all the sobs on here...

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Your interesting question of would Reefy and SS still support the team if we were winning?

That is as interesting as an Alexander Downer speech :? - of course they would.

SS, Reefy and McSharkie share one thing, they are Shraks supporters, nowhere in my supporters manual does it say - everyone support the same way.

BK is not a captains arsehole - but no obvious replacement jumps out either.

I like that... gives me a sort of 'Strider' feeling.

BK is definately not the right captain... He cannot accept the ref's word, If i hear the term 'It has to go both ways' from BK again, i think ill have a fit. And i agree that no other obvious replacement jumps out...

And in my... "Long time lurker" experience, Reefy and SS, love to criticise, nothing more.
