13. Was Parra vs the Chooks. Hindmarsh was injured during the game. Roosters totally ambushed them in defense. Brett Finchs first game for the chooks.

The opening game of 2003 saw both Cayless brothers score the first two tries. Nathan scored for Parramatta early, then Jason replied for the Roosters.
