Leagues Clubs - good and bad

Hi all, before I start to sound like a whinging pom can I say hello and thanks to all the great people at cabramatta. I am over here doing the usual working visa thing from the UK and have been going to see the mighty Jets this season.
After witnessing a few great double-headers at Henson Park I noticed Cabramatta having the same thing on thursday evening, so I went along as train from Newtown only an hour. Anyway saw two great games of footy and enjoyed a few beers in the leagues club (and a decent cheap feed!) before and after the games meeting some really nice people in the process. Cabra are now my Bundy Red team and as soon as I can I will be back with a few mates.
So back to Henson for our usual Saturday, where I noticed Wentworthville were having a double on the Sunday. Nothing better to do as family on other side of world, so off I set.
After an hours train and twenty minute walk I noticed the ground, looked nice and walked up to the leagues club for look round and a beer. I was however refused entry, as I had no proof of where I live. I understand you need to be a member of from outside the area but how does a 'tourist' have proof of where they live!
I was spoken to fairly rudely and asked to leave as soon as possible as I was holding others up.
Needless to say I wont be back!
So if you are thinking of going to see your team play at Wenty, make sure you have your passport, birth certificate, rental agreement/deeds etc - oh and I was told when I asked "so I am meant to bring a photocopy of my rental lease to every footy game am I?" that photocopies dont count...

Hi Mike,

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience at the leagues club. If I was you I would fire off an email to the club - Dave Brace GM & Ian McCann President and let them know exactly how you were treated. As a long time member of the club I have noticed that standards have slipped a little bit and hopefully some negative feed back might make them sit up and take notice. It certainly can't hurt. Other than than I hope you got to see the football.

And get yourself a "Wenty Burger" while you're at it. Culinary quisine at it's suburban finest!

Mate, if you have a UK drivers licence, that should be good enough. If you don't have a licence, use your passport.

It would be a piss poor club that would not let you sign in on either of those.

But.....can you use custom characters, props, animations and maps with the Halo engine or are you stuck with what they give you?
