Leagueunlimited Trivia Night

In an effort to keep this forum growing with a sense of community feeling, I have taken the liberty of getting a quote for a trivia night in February 2004.

Ideally I would like to get a team together from every NRL team to give the night a feeling of genuine rivalry. There will be prizes and "hopefully" some NRL players at the trivia night.

Whilst I am still awaiting a quote, the price will be no more than $40.00 per head and that will include the trivia night, food and prizes for the winning team, the mc/quizmaster and possible appearance fees for some of the players.

Everyone participating will do so under their forum nickname to keep things in the spirit of this forum.

The location will be One World Sport at Parramatta or City but you guys decide on what's best for you. Each table will be a minimum of eight people with and a maximum of ten.

Once we have the quote back from One World Sport we will add the trivia night to our online shop so you can pay through the site with your credit card or via Bpay.

The only drawback will be the trivia night will be for people over 18 as One World Sport is a licensed bar.

Expressions of interest can be left in this thread and info will be passed on as soon as it comes to hand. You can also invite as many friends as you like, it doesn't just have to be forum members.

So start forming your teams and give me a team name.

Spread the word!

Count me in for any tigers team...the only hitch is it can't be between the 12th and the 27th

Well there's a hitch. At this stage the date is Feb 19th but I will have that confirmed. The numbers are starting to rise with Canberra, Souths, Cronulla, Parramatta and Wests Tigers all looking at having a team.

The likely date will be 19th Feb, 2004 which is a Thursday night.

From the level of interest we've received so far, the nights looks as though it will be a huge success. So far the Tigers, Eels and Sharks look like having a team in the trivia night and I have interest from at least three external teams and that list will also grow.

Things are looking good guys. :D

Can we have a Magpies side?

I know you'd be reluctant because with our superior Magpie intellects our side would be so dominant no one else will bother turning up.

I beg to differ.

The night has been confirmed as Feb 19th and there will be a lot more info released later in the week. Without Brook, you guys might stand a chance. \\:D/

Ha! I am the trivia queen ;-), they'll all be lost without me

(you'd be suprised at how many useless facts are hidden in my brain...sadly it seems that its ONLY useless info that i ever actually remember but it comes in handy for trivia nights)

Also amazing is the fact some people can go to licensed premises and not drink alcohol...
But thanks anyway for the community service announcement...people may forget its quite silly to drink & drive nowadays.

Who are these crazy people!!??? To not drink is to deny yourself a pleasure that only alcohol can deliver..... Now i'm thirsty... off to the Woollich Pier Hotel i go.
