Source is today’s Daily Telegraph. Can’t post due to paywall etc.

All I can say is lol.

With the 9’s apparently struggling to sell tickets, and the whole Tonga situation - this is shaping up to be the worst International series ever.

Put this into context

RL fans have shelled out a lot of cash for NRL season and recently finals games

October is a month I am cash poor having overstreched my finances and I suspect many other fans may be the same

Also WSS with no proper western stand for fans means all fans will be sitting in the hot sun. Same issue that occurs at Robina

It's an event I have decided to watch on TV

Add the politics going on takes the gloss off the event being tried for the first time since the SL War

It's standard reporting FFS....death riding the tournament keep league in it's box.

Don't listen to the BS from News Ltd sources do you people ever learn.

Did they death ride the union 7s when they only sold 18,000 tickets?

Yes but casual fans are effected by this negative media

And it's in major school exam period so parents of kids won't be willing to attend

Lebanon put together a team, despite claims that they wouldn't be able to, played and won* 2 games in good style.

*farcical player age issue aside.

The latest RLI podcast has the Lebanon federation saying all players are welcome, competitions in Lebanon will continue at school, club and college levels this year and next. The Lycans club who seemed to be the source of the domestic dramas is back on board.

RLI has so far taken no sanctions against Lebanon regarding the boycott and nor does it seem like they are going to.

So where are they at?
With Farah retired, will some other players come back into the fold or stick to their seemingly futile boycott?
Lebanon don't seem to be struggling to put a team on the park with heritage players and local players available, and have 2 years to prepare their squad for 2021.
Even if they get beat at the WC and fail to back up their automatic qualification, they are well positioned to qualify again by being the strongest in MEA.

Imo in the battle of Lebanon RLF vs white-anting Aussies, Lebanon win.

Thought the biggest reveal was how bad it could've been for the Lebanon Federation with regards to players covering up the Cedar logo. Seems to be like you said Lebanon federation vs the entitled Australian contingent.
