Misty Bee: I have Brett Kenny in my list. Can't have a legends list without Bert.

Thats the reason why I wanted the weekend to look over it. IMO, its dead easy to miss out on someone...

No worries Willow.

The dead line for nominations will be extended till Sunday 4pm. That'll give me 2 hours to create the polls and get them up by 6pm.

One thing I've noticed is that there is a few local heroes running through the thread.

Its up to you Kiwi but imo, heroes (be they local or otherwise) is what 'legends' are made of.

Its all looks good to me.

We almost forgot few true legends. eg, Tommy Bishop, Benny Wearing, Steve Rogers, Mick Cronin, Ken Irvine, Rex Mossop to name but a few. I put them in plus about 50 more.

I have no doubt that there are still some others which were worthy of mention.

I hope the ordered list saves some effort but imo, you still have your work cut out for
you. For instance, we should have the teams the players played for in brackets after their names.
But thats just an idea... did you get the book I sent?

In any case, if it only takes you 'two hours' then you're a champion.

For the record, I also scanned back through old LWOS forums looking for relevant posts. ie, forummers who mentioned players before with legendary overtones.
Additionally, I went through my books which are top heavy with Australian content, but fortunately, the forum has thrown up a number of GB, NZ, Pacific and French names as well.

btw, for future reference, which LWOS section is this thread in?

Kris Radlinski is still playing, he's only about 26.

Mike 'Stevo' Stephenson, was ok, but just because he played in OZ doesn't put him in the frame. I heldsome players back who never moved downunder, but were greater players in the minds of many GB fans than the likes of Tommy Bishop, Brian Edgar etc. One would have been Alan Hardisty of Leeds. Pity you Aussies don't see things in the same light.

I also notice that no-one as voted for Brian Bevan, shame on you!

Many of the Aussies - especially those Queensland second graders - listed would be viewed as a joke in GB.
