Lets solve this 5/8 dilemma once and for all

I recall Mick Buettner being released by the Tigers? Well, he was sensatioal in 2001, very unsung. Just saw him play his nuts out, and do some VERY good things.

I know he's been a journeyman, but there is only 1 jumper Michael Buettner should ever be in. A Parra jumper!

Buetts was good tonight, he made some excellent trysavers and when he actually took the line on he did alright.
I read in an interview he said his options for next year were either playing for the Tigers or not playing at all, but I'm sure if Parra offered him something he'd consider.
He is getting on a bit though, but then again, it doesn't really matter if you're playing well. But it's just a matter of if the body holds up though I guess.

If we've got cash left why not throw him an incentive deal, if he's being cut with no other offers?

And if he's not, then he could be still a good depth player to teach the younger guys in Prem League. If he's happy to go around again for low $ and possible PL that is....

Huh? I believe Beutts was 5/8 alongside Taylor for the majority of 2001.

He did. He was the form 5/8 for us and was always going to play there. All the trials i was at he played in that postion.
