Long Suffering Eels Fans

This weekend the first grade side has the bye but Premier league who are at least in the top 8 and travelling well visit Henson Park to take on the Newtown Jets at 3pm. The Eels will start very firm favourites in this match and I am sure the very die hard eels fans will enjoy a day out Brian Smith Free.

The interesting thing with Newtown games is that we get to see the teams who have the most loyal fan base visiting and given the very nature of Parra fans this should attract many loyal and hard core supporters.

Henson provide fans with one of the rare occassions to get down and actually get up close and personal to your players.

Hope to see a lot of Blue and gold.

Yeah, and a damn fine plug too, Bluebag. Nice to see some loyal Newtown fans still around.

Parra and Newtown games, in any level, are special. The 1981 GF was one of the classics, and Newtown played bloody good footy on that day too.

Hope it's a bumper crowd!

You beat me to it!! ya bastad! ;-)

I'll be there with bells on!

I would be nice if our mob wore the traditional strip for this game and had a bit of 1981 theme to it, because heaven forbid it'll be the closest thing to a grand final win we will ever achieve in for the rest of my life

those of you are thinking of going PM me so we can meet up!!

Parramatta Vs Newtown are always great games.
Newtown always seem to give it to us everytime we play.

They have beaten us a few times in the past 3 or 4 years.

I would love to go - anything Blue and Gold is worth watching.

Unfortunately I cannot make it.

Those of you that are going need to cheer extra loud!

Onya Bluebag. My first ever Eels game live was v Newtown at Henson Park in 1978. I was five, and my parents had to take me out of the stand because the crowd was making too much noise and I was crying! Still have the Big League program in storage back home...

I am with you eelamentary, they deserve the week off especially this week. :D :D . Parra are strong enough with out them and so some they their form has been patchy but from where I sit its allright as they are near the top of PL as usual.

Bluebag,

Dont play the underdog tag with us, U just came off beating the Roosters last week. It should be a good game actually, I might head out and have a look.

Jake,

We almost lost that one after the siren and struggle to play 80 minutes, this is a crucial game for us as it is very congested down where we are unlike yoursleves. YOU ARE STILL THE FAVOURITES.

No he is out again. David Hall is his replacement and doing a terrific job, he has come along way playing outside Fieldsy and is a natural leader.
