Unfortunately Michael Basan was air lifted to hospital with a neck injury. Didn't sound too bad. Apparently he ran in a long range try, sat down, got up, went back for the restart, sat down again and complained he had sore legs... hope it's not too serious.

I was at the game for P/L, i thought that we played extremely poor for most of the match it was just a few key plays that really got us over the line.

Witt with only a few minutes to go had a drop out and kicked it short and regathered, that was pretty much the play that won us the game................second half was great, first half however was very sad.

I would have Witt in first grade as wereally need another attcking player in our team.........i think tonight proves that......

I heard on 2GB Beattie was sent off for elbowing Kafusi or something. Anyone know if he was injured if it warranted a send off?

From what I have been told, Beattie was marched for running with elbow out..no word if anyone was injured, but I would imagine must have been serious for him to be sent off given how reluctant refs seem to be about it these days

Beattie should get 12 weeks for it if you thought the Bird knee was cheap then you aint seen nothing yet until you see the elbow.

but I wouldn't expect any less from the dirtiest player in the NRL today.
