Parra used to send a lot of its junior recruits there now the cupboard is bare.

Any ideas (Has it moved to Cabramatta) ?

I think you will find they are listed by their Junior clubs and not by schools?


Gavin Quin is listed at Cabramatta and Pat Inskip is listed at Hills however they played for St Greg's and Patrician Brothers this year for the Arrive Alive cup.

We come up against Parra Marist in Rnd 2 of the nurti grain cup provided we both win our Rnd 1 games. They aren't that competiitvie anymore in terms of challenging for the actual cup but they usually have our measure. Might be a different stroy this year though.

We used to play on Thursdays against the other schools, and we also had a team in the Parramatta District Rugby League, and that was played on Saturdays.

From what you are telling me they don't play on the Saturdays any more.

In my time they did not recruit and send them to the local schools, all the guys in our teams were Parramata local juniors. Denis Fitzgerald was in the team above me (the old fart).

Oh how times have changed.

A lot of the young kids seem to be going through Westfield Sports High, Terra Sancta, Patrician Brothers.....

Marist Should have won the Cup in 98 or especially 99!....Lyon, J Cayless, P Gallen, C Robinson, D Irvine,, S Witt....

There are no longer recruits sent to Marist cause an old sports master John Muggleton!! had a dustup with fitzgerald and parramatta and no more major recruits sent there no more...but his the defencive caoch for the wallabies now and left ages ago so he wouldnt care now

But he left the poor school in tatters League wise unfortunatly

Yeah.....................I heard he was tied up with union now.

He's an ex Eel similar to Wags. Played in the back row and centres, purely for his defence.

nathan armit was injured for the SG season last year, so i can't wait to see him play again. but i did notice him out on the field. He's a referee in the kiddies games at halftime some weeks!!! 8)

i was also a bit nervous to realise that some of the really good Sg players from last year aren't in the squad next year. They better b in flegg/divvy squads (in Blue and Gold) or they'll b T R O U B L E! :evil:

The SG Ball does have an age limit. Which means many of the players eligbible last year aren't eligible this year.
