Haha yeah, I think you guys should show him the door - for every good goal he scores he must fluff 4 or 5.

Huntelaar would be the perfect signing but everybody is linked with him and being a World Cup year don't be surprised if Stuttgart do up their wages to land him.

The Bendtner groupies will claim he scored over ten goals last season, despite playing in over fifty games.

:roll:

Vela > Bendtner.

If Ade goes and we don't sign a striker -

Almunia
Clichy Toure Gallas/Verma Sagna

Nasri Fabregas Rosicky Walcott

Arshavin RVP

Still a decent side imo.

i read a report which i can't remember that Rosicky won't be back until October and will be stuck in reserves for at least a few weeks.

Wrong way round. :)

I thought you played one up front? Either Ade or RvP.
Fabregas with Diaby and Denilson in the centre with Nasri one wing and Arshavin the other.

Walcott also for right wing.

You need a centre mid. Inler from Udinese or Toulalon (sp?) from Lyon would be good.

As for this possible 6+5 rule, Arsenal are stuffed. ;-)

Its going to be an interesting one year for us, I want to see how Wenger will deal with the new rule, does Almunia count as English as he does hold a British passport

from what i understand alot of things need to happen before the 6+5 rule goes through...

- The EU need to pass it .. which is seen as almost impossible...
- Every league has to agree to it... which would be difficult as the big clubs will put abit of pressure on the national bodies to leave the status quo.
- They need to get the big clubs on-side as Perez has already started talking about starting a European Super League for the mega clubs. how the hell Fifa will convince them to leave the current free-for-all is beyond me.

can you REALLY see these things happen any time soon??

It remains exactly that, a rumor. I'd be very worried if Arsene was basing his recruitment and squad selection based around a tabloid rumor.

Clichy on the left, Sagna on the right? :? Looks ok to me?

I'd take Toulalon in a heartbeat, very classy player. I feel he'd be cheaper than Inler as well.

With this 25 million from Ade -

* Chakmah/*a striker* - 5-10m

* DM - 10-15 m.

Then we'd be set imo. Adebayor's departure is a blessing in disguise. Not only will it bring in a healthy transfer fee, it will dissolve any disharmony caused by his ego and allow Arshavin to play a more attacking role. It's no coincidence that his four at Anfield were scored with Adebayor on the sidelines. His workrate and creativity will compliment RVP/Eduardo a lot more than Adebayor's laziness. This will also push Walcott into the starting side which would become useful should any silly 6+5 rule take effect.

Nicklas would sleep easy as well, he wouldn't have to worry about any more potential headbutts.

At first I was aprehensive about Ade's departure, but after scratching my head and racking my brain about the possible hypotheticals, I do think that him leaving would benefit the squad more than if he stayed.

CC_Eagle: Your goalie is at the top, that means you had them the wrong way round. Turn your head upside down.. :lol: I know I know, it doesn't matter, i know what you meant.

Huntelaar i don't think would suit Arsenal, you already have Eduardo to score goals. His movement isn't good enough for the system, and he doesn't add enough to the overall game. This was the prob with Ade, he stopped running (trying, caring etc.).

The problem with the 6+5 rule is that it applies to EU citizens. In Europe we have a freedom of movement which means i can work by the med if i want, or poles etc. can work in Britain. Just assume Europe is one big country. The 6+5 is a restraint in trade as its stopping for example a French person playing in England. An example in Aus would be to limit players by state and so the Storm would have to sack Slater purely because he is from Queensland not Victoria. That is discrimination and is illegal.

Every so often someone says its coming in, but if it did a lot of footballers will lose there jobs and may be able to take legal action. Its not a footballing issue its a legal one which is why i doubt it will come in.

The whole rule is flawed anyway. If Prem and La liga teams are only allowed 5 foreign players they will go out and buy the best 5 they can find. Thus meaning they will still be the best and dominate. Smaller nations will have less players in the top leagues weakiening there national teams. For example, France, Portugal, Holland. IMO.

.

The Dutch way is all about movement and touch, Huntelaar would be fine.
