LU Trivia Night on 19th February

Just a reminder that we have the trivia night fast approaching at One World Sport Parramatta, and I am now looking at having our team(s) finalised, so I can pass it on to Legend.

Here is the line up so far:

As you can see, we have 11, so we have one extra player at this time - which is why I want to push for a second team, if we can get the cattle.

I am still after some more recruits, so that we can perhaps have two teams for the night (the second one called the Cougars for now), but I can probably only keep that open for another few weeks.

Also, seeing that I have next to no experience with trivia nights, I will also be after a captain for the team. Fibro Man, I'm thinking of giving it to you, if you want to take the responsibility on.

I will post this on the Beersquad forum, and I may even try PI, so I can get some more recruits. I think if we can have two teams for the night, it will create a heavy presence!



I will also use this thread as an update leading up to the night.

OK, that's it for now... I guess if you can post a reply on here stating whether you are interested or not would also be a good thing!

Also, is there a chance you can make this thread a sticky Witty or Big Mick? If you could, it will be greatly appreciated.

Ahh it's ok Fibro you don't have to tell me now what the date is! Being a Thursday night and a school night there is no chance in hell i can make it to have a birthday drink with ya either, Fibro.

Psst Roo! What are the captain duties because i think Fibro will be fully tanked that night! :lol:

Don't you worry. Fibro can get tanked and still carry out any duty that may be called of him. Even ' that'. Just ask Mrs Fibro.

Captain is just a title. On the night, it wont take long to work out who has the superior general knowledge in each of the categories. We will probably turn to different people to make the final decision in each of the different knowledge areas.

Fibro is now off preparing for Boot Camp, so when giving him your personal details leave a false address and phone number otherwise you will be hounded the week before with him dragging you all out of bed in the early hours of the morning down to the banks of Nepean where he will have you all treading through rubber tyres with questions being fired at you. He on the otherhand would have been out the evening before letting the numerous dbl B & DC's settle before hitting the sack. :lol:

Well done guys for getting your table together. We are starting to see the interest hot up and we are working on more prizes and NRL players as well. We can also stay on after the night has finished as it's a retro night every Thursday at One World Sport and we have been given VIP access so it should be a lot of fun.

Yep, all going well this will be an annual event and the aim is to lower the prices next year with more numbers and corporate support to make this an ongoing event that will grow in stature by the year.

I don't know about the rest of you, but having it on a Thursday night ruled me out.

Friday night would have made it a lot easier.

We couldn't hire the venue oout over the weekend which restricted our choice of venues and the attempt was to kepe the venue neutral with no club affiliations so there wasn't a lot we could do I'm afraid.

Thanks for the info mate. Looks like I was struggling for the full compliment anyway. Will end up with around 7. Will be finalised by this time tomorrow night.

Couldn't recruit any new people as the trivia night clashes with a Panthers fan day at Richmond.

Ok. Looks like an amalgamation within the forum teams is highly likely at this stage so we have to work out who wants to sit with who.

So far we know:

The Panthers have 7
The Raiders have 5
The Inernational forum has 6
The Sharks forum has 4-5

which means we can make two full tables from the numbers available. Let me know who would be your first preference to sit with and we'll work it from there. I do need definite numbers though.

I will sit with anyone , even Roosters supporters, but in respect to the latter, I can't guarantee that there won't be fisticuffs at some point in time. They just wind me up. Ps. I had lunch with MGRULES today, he is keen as mustard as long as he doesn't have to babysit. GEDDS and Anthrax are definates.

Ok guys, that fits perfectly with the Eels who have four players. If it's ok, we can combine the two to make an even ten. It will be a good way to mingle with fellow fans as well.
