I have high hopes for Schneider. And with a potential halves vacancy in 2025 there is a huge opportunity for him.

O'Sullivan and Cogger didn't have a guaranteed spot. The stage may be set up differently for Schneider.

My issue with him is he is same style as Cleary, Not sure they will work together

I'm hopeful that Laurie (If Romey leaves) is able to step up to the plate.
I know he's smaller than Romey, but still of an age where he can put on some lean muscle, without affecting his speed.
Obviously Laurie will need to develop his defence further too, as to not be the weak link in the defensive line.

Schneider is a 7 and a green one at that. He’s a solid back up option, but I can’t see him replacing Romey.

Thats the fkn point isnt?, so when cleary is on rep duty, suspended or injured, he takes over, at 7, not work along side of him

I presume to poster was getting at, none of us mentioning him as 6 option IF Luai goes.

The reason I haven't mentioned him is that I see him as too similar to be with Cleary

That is the thing. Cogger and Cleary worked, going down that path a 7 would replace Luai ok

I actually think cogger and nath worked together brilliantly..

Cogger really played direct and kept the attack from going to sideways which romey can be guilty of sometimes.

Yes cogger lacked a bit of x factor amd speed but his defence was top shelf and his attack worked well with naths.

He was extremley underrated for us last year.

I dont think schnieder will be to far from the mix

Part of the reason it worked was sides didn't know what was coming with Cogger in 6. Not sure that teams would have such an issue longer term.

We already have a fullback and a hooker that aren't explosive.

I'd want to see how we look replacing Crichton 1st. Someone in the backs needs to be flashy

The D was the one thing I thought could be better. A couple times I remember him getting burnt for speed in round matches.

Otherwise I thought he was brilliant. Hope Newy put in a bit extra because he deserves it just like O'Sullivan did.

Yeo has also been worked out a bit and that's why he simplified his game after origin. Kenny is such a goer but I'd be looking at some hooking options with Luai's cash

May would be front runner for centre atm, Of course pre- season may chance that.

Not much strike there, hard running yes, power but not much else.

No Luai on top of that, changes elsewhere. Hopefully Scott or Sommerton kick on

Cole is the most likely at this stage I think but anything could happen over the next year, but I think they rate him and will give him every chance. Laurie is a really interesting option talented enough for sure, but a year deal means he’s going to have to prove himself quickly.

Cole ticks a lot of the boxes

decent size
Can play both sides, Was a 7 coming through the grades - both of these are key in we are looking to base the attack around Cleary playing both sides and 2nd reciever more

Luai and Nathan should be on the same salary

nathans greediness will ruin a dynasty

I suppose the club needs to save money for Jetty certain people will tell you he is the most in demand youngster in the country
