That was just luck but still I'll take it.

I'm not sure who even had a good game - Robbie and Benji had their moments, the forwards were okay, Ayshford and Reddy were both reasonably good. The back 3 were all okay excluding Lote looking average at times.

Farah won it for us but I thought he came up with a couple of errors - I'd like to see him get a rest during the game.

We have a lot to do.

Lawrence to 6 to me worked well.

Your kidding about everything right.

Lote was crap for 82mins. Lawrence is not a Five Eights asshole. Benji had a good kicking game when he got into position and kicked long, other than that he too was crap. There are no positives from that game, would have been more beneficial if we lost, didn't deserve that celebration.

Lote was crap for 82mins.

He was poor at numerous times throughout the game.

Lawrence is not a Five Eights asshole.

I disagree- he runs straight and hard plus he puts in a good pass every so often. His defence is solid. I liked him there.

Benji had a good kicking game when he got into position and kicked long, other than that he too was crap.

Benji wasn't good but his kicking game was pretty good and his defence was huge.

There are no positives from that game, would have been more beneficial if we lost, didn't deserve that celebration.

I disagree - a win means we get 2 points and that is exactly what was required. Robbie coming up with some big plays was really good. Lawrence slotting in at 6 was really good - they can build on that. Moltzen was solid at the back for the first time this season. Woods was good. Blair was alright as well. Ayshford looked like the player he was last year. Reddy to me also looked good.

you got it all wrong mate. lawrence is below average at 6, and that means marshall has to be at 7 where he is below average also.

lote really should be dropped.

best on ground were farah and aaron woods.

fulton was solid in defence, ayshford showed promise, and reddy has a good offload

I thought Marshall and Lawrence were okay. Marshall needs to improve but I would stick with that halves combo - I think it was the best we have had all year.

Woods was great but I thought the forwards basically went alright. We really need more impact in the forwards though - Ellis makes a huge difference to our squad.

BMM needs to be brought on earlier, instead of giving galloway 4 spells a game.

Not sure why you would have our #1 centre playing 5/8, where humble or dare i say moltzen are just as effective in the halves

marshall feeding the scrums in attacking position what a waste there is open space and he just stands and passes he needs space and he is not an organiser how did we get out of that.

We are discussing the game played tonight by Tigers against Titans.

Lawrence is a good defender. he was put at 6 to help cover a hole in the middle created by Blair's laziness as he is constantly standing near or just outside the centres defensively, most likely to avoid doing any work, a-la Te'o.

But as far as being a five-eighth in attack, he just isn't. His job as a centre is to run hard and straight. Thats not the role of your 6.

We essentially had to keep moving Farah halfway though every set of 6 from hooker to halfback so that Benji could play at 6 and Lawrence at centre, with Ayshford moving to play as a Lock/Centre and Ryan covering from dummy half at times.

Thats just an absolute f**king mess. These constant and numerous player reshuffling by Sheens to accommodate, essentially Reddy, are just mind numbingly f**king stupid.

Reddy made some good offloads, thats it, everything else he did was average. Ayshford shat on him in every other aspect of play.

As I said in the other thread, the thing that blunted our attack most was constantly moving Farah to 7 midway through a set and having no halfway link between him and Benji, therefore, we had to pass long and deep to Farah so that he could pass long and deep to benji. We lost so much momentum and ground and it moved so slow that the defence were able to contain it.

And then Benji just didn't bother running the ball, he essentially took himself completely out of the game.

If we have to screw around with where Lawrence plays to accommodate both Ayshford and Reddy in the centres, can we at least play him at fullback rather than wasting him in the halves?

I honestly think Benji and Lawrence in the halves worked tonight. I like the way Lawrence runs it hard and straight there.

I also thought Ayshford and Reddy were both good. The problem in the backs tonight was predominately Lote. Benji had an off game but it wasn't a terrible performance.

As for Blair - I think that is the best he has played for us but for the amount of dollars he is on he really is a dud buy. Ellis is a great player. Blair seems to be consistent - he doesn't get injured and he regularly makes 50 metres per game. The problem on the dollars Blair is on he should be making 100 + metres every game. I think all our other forwards are better players than Blair.

lawrence runs hard straight as a centre.

Running hard and straight is what centres do.

Having 3 centres on the field restricts our playmaking options because we only have one man in the halves.

And tonight it showed because we lacked creativity and the ability to create points because there were only two people capable to create something, and one of them was constantly shifting between hooker and half and the other was running sideways and palming off ineffective pointless off loads.

Lawrence added nothing to the halves or the teams creativity, he took no pressure off Benji or Farah, and essentially just played as a centre closer in to the ruck.

essentially, this is how our side was structured tonight

Fullback - Moltzen
Wing/Hooker - Ryan
Centre - Ayshford, Blair, Reddy
Wing/Centre (through his own stupid positioning in defence) - Tuqiri
Five-Eighth/Halfback - Marshall
Hooker/Halfback - Farah
Props - Woods, Galloway
Second Row - Bell, Fulton
Lock - Lawrence

Too many players out of position, not enough playmakers and too much positional changes/responsibilities for too many players.

Its a f**king mess, its no wonder our defensive is like a sieve, half the team don't know where they are supposed to defending.

We do look a shambles at times,Benji is not effective if he just passes the ball,he needs to run it thats when he is dangerous,Lote should retire immediately.I missed the start of the game, so was Humble made the scape goat for last week or was he injured early? Were all our bench players utilised i only noticed BMM and Cashmere apart from Ayshford ?

Humble was just benched, run on side had Ayshford in the centres, Lawrence at 6, Marshall at 7.

The worst effort tonight by a country mile was Tim Sheens.

To think, the CEO and Board were concerned about signing W Mason and yet they retain Sheens . Might go as far as saying he should be charged with "bringing the game into disrepute"

To add what a few have said:
Lawrence is not a 5/8,
Lote should be dropped, as if Sheens will do that,
Reddy was good, even very good,
Half tonight, be it Farah or Marshall, well see my opening line,
Blair was better,

Humble, kid, at least no one can blame you for tonight if they'd lost and I guess the same can be said for Moors, what a pathetic use of a 4 man bench.

Moltzen remains a big part of the problem along with Lote and sheens.

BMM busts downfield and offloads to Benji. Not only has Benji no confiddence to take them on himself anymore but any other fullback in the comp would have been on his inside shoulder but not little Timmy

Too much rubbish, the mere fact we got the win is rubbish. Everyone played out of position. Why the restructure, so that Humble didn't get a start? Why was he axed? Moors gets 12 minutes, is Sheens for real? We're behind so you don't use everyone on the bench, nice. We lacked spark in attack but couldn't find a spot for Humble in the last 20 mins. I just don't get it!!!
