He played pretty well today for first grade debut.

Excellent in defence

No major stuff ups

One drop ball

Meshed well with Farah and Marshall.

Seemed to play a bit in the centres in the second half.

You cant expect super man on a debut and combinations take time, but I would give him at least a B+.

the drop ball wasn't his fault, hospital pass from payne.

didn't direct attack as marshall and co took control, but he will only improve against the eels and will be thankful for the run

I disagree about his defence trigg, i seen as lest 4-5 missed tackles. They werent critical misses luckily but he will need to improve against the eels. Apart from defence he was composed and didnt do anything stupid. He also seems to have a good set of hands , he coped a bad pass and took it easy than put the kick thru to set up ryan in the corner.

Amazing what happens when you have a little depth in the halves. Haven't seen the game yet, but I can't wait to watch the replay.

3 of those were against Gallen weren't they? He ain't the first to be bumped off, and won't be the last.

What about Ryan's 1 on 1 trysaver...

For a young guy, He doesn't get fazed. He seems to have a lot of time on his hands. Rarely picks the wrong option. His D isn't the greatest, but he is only a young guy and will improve in time.

Well to be honest - I thought his D was OK for his first game in the top flight.

Pulled off some great one on ones and yea - he missed a couple, but how many halves don't?

And he as on debut.....

I just remember him shirt grabing at times. Not putting the shoulder in. Bare in mind that the Sharkies didn't pose too much of an attacking threat. Overall good job. He has to be ready for Foi foi and Hindy and the likes next Fridee.
