You are clearly watching a different game.

.

It amuses me no end that when someone disagrees with you, you make these kind of statements, or other comments like "you must be blind." Just accept others have a different opinion, voice yours and move on.

I dont think anyone can be sure of how successful it will be, but Lui is clearly not the answer at this time. So imo either choose Moltzen or Miller and give them a shot - they cannot be worse than Lui, and if by some miracle they are, then you can bring Lui back and hopefully he will be better for the run in lower grades.

The problem is that we still have Tuqiri and Lawrence out, and have been running without Ellis for such a long time. Add to that problems with Ryan and Utai during the season so far, not to mention injuries to our forward pack in general... and we have two things to take into account - an unsettled backline, and a major test of our depth.

As I see it, Sheens has four genuine halfback options in the circumstances.

1. Play Moltzen, and find another centre (is this why Timona is getting a run three weeks in a row?) Lui to reserves.
2. Play Miller at halfback and hope he handles it. Lui to reserves.
3. Play Lui and hope that he lifts his game. This is the option he's gone with, and we're in sixth place at the moment. Hardly a failure...
4. Play both Lui and Miller in the halves, with one to start and one coming off the bench. The only reason I can think of for this not happening is Miller could be on some incentive based salary and we are under a lot of cap pressure at the moment - maybe they are holding him off in case we need him later in the year?

The real question for me will be what happens when our backline stars return and our full strength team gets ready to run out. Where will Moltzen play? Where will Lui play? What will the MasterCoach™ do then?

Fair assessment. I am hoping for options 1 or 2 personally. 6th is not bad for our injuries and how badly we are playing, but if it continues this way you can see us fading out to nothing this year.

I too agree with NC's assessment but my concern is that we are winning in spite of Lui's performance on the field at present. He is not in form and is not improving at present. We are getting to the business end of the seaosn where everyone has to contribute to the win. Consider if we scrape in to the finals, if this keeps up it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out who the opposiiobn will be targeting with their running forwards creating gaps.

At some stage soon Teflon has to bite the bullet and drop Lui if this keeps up and allow an alternate Moltzen / Miller / anybody a few games ot settle in with the position and see how they go towards the finals run for WT.

This stupid agenda against Lui is becoming boring it is like some tv soap with all the scheming and bitching going on . Can anyone tell me how many tries the warriors scored of a Lui miss ,I can only count 1 being the warriors 1st try from the locke bust but that should be shared by dwyer who's effort was weak.

The second half Lui was on the field for the warriors 1st try but Lui did take his man his outside man missed the tackle. The next 2 tries were also scored on the right side D but by this time Lui was off the field.

So really the problem is our whole right side D structure which is understandable when we have our better Denfenders on the left protecting Benji

Switch Ellis for Dwyer? who knows

As for our attack in the second half you cant really say that was game plan
it was more good luck and poor warriors D but thats where the tigers are best playing off the cuff and wearing the opponent down I think Lui being younger and coming from the NYC he is used to playing a more structured game.He just needs to loosen up a bit but maybe he is just following the Sheens game plan....

You are entitled to your opinion, but if you can honestly sit here and say Lui has no talent or potential then I believe you are a bad judge.

I think the trouble will come (if we are not ready), when we start playing more of the better sides, more often.

I rated the Warriors, but a good test will be this week against the Storm? Bellamy will have us sorted out, so it will be interesting where they attack us. If they give it to us good, then the other teams will use it as a guide to how to beat us.

I think we have shown we can score the points, it's the stopping them that is our problem.

Time will tell. The best game I have seen him play was the Foundation Cup trial. I had a glimpse of what his supporters must see more of. I have seen nothing since to convince me he is capable of more than the occasionally good game, and his deficiencies outweigh his potential or positives in my opinion. Since Sheens loves this guy, I hope you are right and I am a bad judge. As I said - time will tell.

News to me mate. If so it will be very interesting to see why sheens does. You would think moltz to 7, Simona to 4 and either shirnack or Meaney onto the bench, depending on what type of game he wants to play.

Or maybe he just chucks miller in the deep end, the kid is full of confidence and I don't think playing against the 2nd placed team at a sold out leichhardt oval will phase him. Plus he is a very good defender...I'm having nightmares of Blair running over Lui all day

On what Blair has showed so far this season, he`s not running near hard enough to run over anyone, Lui included.

Well if you recall that Lui did injury himself I think it the 30th minute last weekend and didn't play the rest of the match with Moltzen pushing to the number 7.

Firstly Lui went off in the second half, when the score was 12-8 to the Warriors.

Secondly, Moltzen did not play halfback last week, Marshall did. Watch the game again.

So...

When Moltzen plays at halfback, the game plan is just to get Benji to bomb it every time we get close to the line?

How long is Benji gone for?

WT twitter

Benji has been diagnosed with a low grade medial strain to his left knee. He will need scans to determine the full extent of the injury

Strain as opposed to Tear - Can't be that bad
