Luke ODwyer Injury

Can someone shed some light on the Luke O'Dwyer injury. He is listed to be back soon on the injuryupdate site. However i was under the impression he was out for the year.

Long story short. A work mates sister is really good friends with Luke (of which he is the godparent of their child) has passed on info from him that he is approx 2 months from having the cast removed. Therefore more likely closer to the 3 months before returning to the park. Not good.

I heard it was ankle ligament damage

Ligament damage between tibia and fibia. Something like that anyway. Saw a photo of him with the brown coloured cast on. Apparently he is very happy with the club. They have shown plenty of faith in him and signed him up full time. Not much money but better than the contract and part time job he was first on. Good on them. He could be something special. Wish him a quick recovery.

Close to it. He was saying around the 3 month period as of about 2 weeks ago. That obviously depends on how quickly he heals. Would take him to about round 21......

In the Big League this week there was a small piece on O'Dwyer, he is hoping that the injury doesn't harm his chances of getting re-signed and is also hoping to get something worked on in the next couple of weeks.

i dont think he should be resigned, didn't show enough to be a quality first grade player

OK, Luke has gone home while the injury heals. This is so he can get some hlp doing things off his mum and not because he is upset with anyone at the club for a change. ;-) . The Cast apparently comes of either this or next week.

Talking to Luke last night and he said he would be out for another twelve weeks.
