PATTEN SIGNS ON FOR TWO MORE YEARS OF DUTY
Patten, 26, has proved one of the most-consistent members of the Bulldogs squad playing 134 first grade games over five-and-a-half seasons an average of 24 games per season.
Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes said, The statistics show that Luke is one of the most consistent and durable players in the NRL and this season he is probably in the best form of his career.
Patten said, Ive achieved a lot at this Club, but there is still a lot more that we can do as a team and Im excited about the prospect of being here for another two years.
Patten came to the Bulldogs in 2001 after making his first grade debut as an 18 year-old for the Steelers in 1998. He was part of the St George Illawarra joint venture for 1999 and 2000.
Bulldogs CEO Malcolm Noad commented, Lukes approach to training and playing is one of the most professional in the Club. He is well-respected and a good role model for the younger players.
Luke Patten is the fifth Bulldogs player to re-sign with the Club this year, joining Chris Armit, Jarrad Hickey, Reni Maitua and Willie Tonga.
