Rumor has it that promising Magpie junior Jordan Macey has signed with the Manly Sea Eagles, after being chased by both Parramatta and the Bulldogs.

If this is true, this is very disappointing for Western Suburbs.

Thats terrible news, but i can see where Macey is coming from. I see Simon Greally pushing Hodgson out of the fullback spot withing the 3 years unless Hodgson's form has a dramatic turn around. With these two blokes seemingly ahead of him the path to a first grade spot at manly would look alot easier. But he is a talent.

Steady on their buddy, Hodgson hasn't even pulled on the Black, White and Gold yet. And is still in his prime with alot of exciting football ahead of himself. Ignore his form in 2003, because injuries completely wrote it off for Betty Boo! With Simon Greally, yes he is talent, and will hopefully be apart of the Joint-Venture's future, but alot can between now and in 3 years. That's the beauty of depth though, having players like Greally there in place...Yes, we finally have it! :lol:

I'm still yet to be convinced that fullback will be Greallys best position and even more so the position he will be playing if he makes his first grade debut.

The kid is a great talent but I tend to get the impression that they will be trialling Marshall at the back during some point of the season.

Now add to that Brett, Robert, Daniel and Dene to name a few the fullback spot is going to finally a position that has not just some compition but a position we actually have some depth in.

If greally ever passes the ball he may turn into a good player. He's exciting with the ball but has a lot to learn.
