lol You'll be quietly following the Magpies games with more interest than ever with some of those players in the team. One could argue to the point of even supporting them ;-)

And why not? A proud club celebrating it's 100th season in the top grade of the NSWRL (one of only 2). Lot's to like!

Sure is an interesting team though. Saffy and Lewis are right out of left field. Especially Saffy. Always happy to have him in the side, but I would have thought he'd be in the top 25 and so no chance of playing for the Maggies again.

It looks a good line up on paper. Let's hope they can put it to the Sea Eagles.

If Mark Hendy is given a good go he'll do very well. Can play centre and 5/8, very good defensively as well. Disappointed to have seen him leave the Eels - but given Troy Pezet seemed to like to play centres in the backrow it made it difficult for him to cement a role.

Bah, much like when meggsie was playing for Parra I wanted to see man of the match (or in this case men of the match) in a badly beaten team ;-)

Seriously though thats just depressing - and I'm guessing Saffy AND Lewis with the pies means sheens is sticking with his idiotic notion that Bronson Harrison should be played in the front row.

On the upside looks like we've kept Moa afterall :D

Certainly a very interesting side. Plenty of talent if they can put it together, that`s for sure.
Can anyone tell me anything about Simon Greaves ??? What is his former club(s) and what`s his playing style, a strong ball runner, a worker or a bit of a ball player ???

Greaves has played for Balmain and I think Norths, pretty sure he was a parra junior but could be wrong there....

nothing special imo

Simon Greaves was at Parramatta Flegg in 2005 and Asquith last year - ball playing lock or 5/8.

I was sure he played with us...who the hell am I thinking of?

He's a ball playing lock or 5/8 like an Anasta, Sutton or me. Played with Asquith last year in the Jim Beam Cup.

I know he played for BRET in this seasons trial against Newtown ?
Keep a watch on Beau Ryan, a real talent in my view.

The centres are a real strength for us no question Vic. At least until Chris gets the call from Sheens. Won't be long I reckon - the kid is just too special.

Surprised to see Dean named in the front row, especially with all of the beef on the bench. Wouldn't surprise at all to see a late switch into the back row. That's his spot for mine. In the sevens and trials he has shown some genuine pace. A bit wider he will make a big impact.

That is a pretty good side, particularly with Saffy, Lewis and Howell on the bench. I just hope the all remain with Wests and aren't playing for Balmain in a couple of weeks.

It's good to see Chris Lawrence hasn't gone to Balmain.

How do Magpies fans feel about having 6 players who played with Balmain last year?
(Although Saffy was originally a Magpie).

Yeah that is the same Beau Ryan from the Dragons.

Hey brook,

Can you tell me where and what grade Ben Teo will play this year. I just really want
to see him play some footy.

Cheers
Skinner
