Kick off the new season in style with the Magpies 2006 season launch. Wests are combining the season launch with the deferred - Celebration of the 70's Night to give all Magpie fans a gala evening. The evening will include the announcement of the Magpies 'Team of the 70's' featuring the greatest names in Black and White during the decade. All the greatest Leagends of Lidcombe will be there on the night for fans to meet and greet. There will also be a special video presentation featuring the highlights of decade.
But like the proverbial set of steak knives - that's not all. Change is afoot at Western Suburbs and the season launch will unveil the Magpies new 'Back to the Future' playing strip and logo for the first time, and new Premier League coach and 70's Legend John 'Joe Cool' Dorahy will outline what the fans have to look forward to in 2006.
But that's not all. The Magpies favourite sons who represented us in last year's Wests Tigers premiership winning team will bring along the NRL trophy to present to the fans. We also hope to make a very special presentation to a very special Magpie in that side.
It promises to be a fantastic night for all Magpie fans, and unmissable for any of us that hold special memories of Lidcombe.
The night will be on Friday March 3rd 7:00pm at Wests Ashfield. Tickets are $100 including a fantastic meal and drinks. Oh and in case you haven't got one, buy your Magpies replica Victa jersey for a special better than retail price on the night to collect your hero's signatures. There will also be a very limited range of special merchandise available.
