Making Banners

What program do you guys use to make the banners many of us use in our signatures?

I promise I will use the knowledge for evil ;-)

i get pumba to make mine. (we besties)

photoshop 7 is good too. easy to use. not as pro as cs and that is tho...but still can produce some nice work with it.

A fair bit. Up to and over $1000 depending on the version I think...
