BRONCOS SIGN KAUFUSI
Monday 16th August 2004

London Broncos have announced the signing of Parramatta forward Mal Kaufusi and New Zealander Zebastian Luisi until the end of the season.

Tongan powerhouse Kaufusi, 26, has made appearances in the NRL with Northern Eagles, Sydney Roosters and the Eels

Luisi, 19, has joined London from Auckland side Eastern Tornados, and is a utility player who has already joined the Broncos in training.

Kaufusi will arrive in the UK on Wednesday, and the pair have signed with London until the end of 2004, with a view to longer-term deals.

"We're in good shape as a squad right now," said coach Tony Rea.

"This additional support is a bonus and both players will get every chance to press for selection."

The Broncos, who celebrate their tenth anniversary on Sunday, have won their last three games to give their hopes of Super League survival a huge boost.

Yep, that's their Eels contingent.

Rumours are Jimmy wants to come back to Sydney to get into coaching (at junior levels), but London is keen for him to go around again.

He was a shocker the game he played.
3 Hitups, 26 meters, 12 tackles and a dummy half run.
Never liked him and he hasnt shown us otherwise. Id prefer fui any day. Is he off contract?

I'm sure that a couple of years ago they had some more ex-Eels.

Yep, I only listed their current Eels contingent. In the past ten years the following have also had a run for London:
Tulsen Tollett
Shane Vincent
Luke Goodwin
Steve Trindall (did he ever play for us?)

They did a team of the decade thing for their tenth anniversary, and you can find the nominations here
